Enough space for family members to have some privacy

It was spacious, good for a family. It was rather far to the centre but a bus was within walking distance and that worked well. The flat is in a quiet residential area, little traffic.

The strong smell of smoke from downstairs, especially for the children. The landlady understood the problem and then smoked outside, which helped.

okay stay, smokey apartment

This was a cute second story apartment, once in the door you need to walk up 16 steps to the main living space which holds the two bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. The living room area is up another floor (11 steps). The apartment had everything we need to make our meals. It supplied coffee, tea, sugar, and salt and pepper. There was a hotpot for hot water. We had enough hot water for all four (82, 63, 57 and 52) of us to take showers.

Our train was later than anticipated for arrival so we did not get to check in until 7:30pm-8:30 pm. Unfortunately, as soon as we opened the entrance door, the aroma of smoke was there to greet us. This home was advertised as non-smoking. however, it was not. I am not sure if the previous guest(s) smoked. We opened the windows and closed the doors in each of the bedrooms to try and air it out. All of us are non smokers. My aunt has breathing issues and I have allergies to tobacco. Everyday upon our return we opened windows to air it out. We did inform the owner of the smoke issue, she applogized and asked if we could deal with it. We did since we had a short visit and would be gone 8 - 11 hours a day. Once the property was booked, I recived a note from the owner telling me we needed to pay a tourist tax of 32 euro. The tourist tax was not mentioned in the listing. I contacted Booking and they contacted the owner, Booking stated that we needed to poay the additional fee that the home owner was requesting. I informed the owner that I would bring the 32 euro with me when we stayed there. The owner was good with this. The property listed a free airport shuttle which was one of the reasons we booked it. Upon reserving and paying for the apartment. I reached out to the owner about the airport shuttle. The owner replied to contact Booking. I contacted Booking. Booking then stated that the owner stated that there was no shuttle. After some back and forth with Booking, the owner stated that they would pay for the transit (bus/tram and taxi for the kilomiter to the station) to the airport. This was utimately deducted from the Tourist Tax that was left for the owner upon our departure, since she was on holiday as well. The unit itself is almost a mile walk from the station and half of mile walk to the bus stop. There are no close grocery stores, so we would stop at one of the tram stations next to a grocery store on the way home each night.

Family friendly stay in Hamburg suburb near trains to town

very clean and cosy apartment near Volkspark Stadium, Arena and Zoo. The owner is there for you all the time and reacts to requests promptly.

Steeply stairs not ideal for younger kids that run around a lot. however, the owner is about to install gates for safety.

Upon first entering the accommodation, we immediately noticed a strong smell of cigarette smoke which we first attributed to a previous occupant. However, within a short period of time we discovered that the smell of smoke was coming from the owner's accommodation below via gaps in the staircase. This was disappointing as it caused our clothes to smell of smoke and my wife, who suffers from asthma, has an allergy to cigarette smoke, we expected the accommodation to be non-smoking. The stairs from the first floor to the living room in the roof were quite steep and needed particular care in use and, we would warn visitors with young children to be made aware of this. In other respects this split level apartment was very clean and satisfactory. Please note: The first image is shows the stairs at the entrance with a gap where the smell of cigarette smoke comes up. The second image is of the stairs leading to the living room in the roof.

Spacious, generous, nice decor & convenient apartment for families!

We stayed one night in the apartment. It was perfect for our big family! Great with three bedrooms, as well as kitchen & places to sit and lounge. The rental has all you need - coffee capsules, nice bedding, TV… clean & convenient. We had a relaxing evening, before heading out on the roads south for Provence.

Nice property

Very clean. Just a km away from S Bahn station. Rooms are good. Kitchen is the best. Utensils well stacked up. Very nice proper. Best for a couple of days.

Wi-Fi is a problem. Intermittent connection. Big issue for me was the heater in the attic room wasn't functioning. It was too late by the time I realised it so I didn't bother the owner but it costed me my sleep. The blanket simply wasn't sufficient enough. One window in attic doesn't have curtain/blinds so it's not blacked out at night (another issue for me). Bathroom is very small but functional.

Great Place to Stay

We enjoyed our stay at the host's house, which provided us with great comfort and relaxation. The host was so so considerate and hospitable. The house was clean, welll-equipped and spacious.

Sehr nette Vermieterin. Klare Anweisungen zur Anreise und zur Wohnung. Alles so wie beschrieben. Ausreichend Platz für 5 Personen. Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück. Unsere Mitarbeiter waren sehr zufrieden.

Anmerkung für Monteure: Einfahrt für große Transporter bisschen eng, kein Gefrierfach im Kühlschrank.

Nett eingerichtet, gute Betten. Große Küche mit großem Esstisch.

Die Vermieterin raucht. Da die FeWo direkt über ihrer Wohnung ist, riecht sie FeWo nach Rauch. Das Bad war wenig einladend. Es roch modrig und leicht nach Urin, hinter der Toilette war es gruselig dreckig, der Duschvorhang war unten total versifft und die Fugen in der Dusche ordentlich verschimmelt. Eines der Handtücher ist wohl zu lange feucht gewesen und roch widerlich.

Wir hatten viel Platz für uns als Großfamilie und waren völlig ungestört! Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und ist mit dem Esstisch ein sehr gemütlicher Raum.Die Treppen sind zwar etwas steil, aber wir kamen mit der Situation gut klar. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Enttäuschend - alles von Zigarettengeruch überlagert

Insgesamt ist die Wohnung gut ausgestattet. Die Lage im Wohngebiet ist ruhig. Die Wohnung hat einen tollen Schnitt und ist sehr groß! Schnelle Reaktion der Vermieterin, als wir den Schlüssel für das Fenster gebraucht haben, der nur bei ihr war.

Definitiv KEINE Nichtraucherwohnung! In der Wohnung selbst wird zwar nicht geraucht, aber die Vermieterin wohnt unten drunter und der Rauch zieht durch den Eingangsbereich in die gesamte Wohnung (keine Tür als Barriere). Die Handtücher haben auch nach Rauch gerochen, zuhause mussten alle Klamotten in die Wäsche. Bei Meldung hieß es nur, da könne man nichts machen und laut anderer Rückmeldung sei es nur der Eingangsbereich. Geputzt war eher grob (zB viel Staub, vor allem im Bad, eingetrocknete Tomatensoße an der Außenseite des Backofens, in den Ecken Spinnenweben). Die Vermieterin hat selbst nach Bitte, die Kommuniktion über Booking durchzuführen weiterhin noch auf Whatsapp geschrieben. Der erwähnte Fernseher mit Satellitenempfang im Wohnzimmer hatte 5 Kanäle und keinen Internetempfang, sodass man auch keinen FireTV Stick verwenden konnte. Das ging nur auf dem kleinen Fernseher in einem der Schlafzimmer. In der Beschreibung waren DVDs erwähnt, wodurch wir auch von einem DVDPlayer ausgegangen sind. Weder ein Player noch DVDs waren da. Die Matratzen sind durchgelegen, vor allem beim Doppelbett rollt man einfach nur in die Mitte. Sehr hellhörige Wohnung - sowohl von unten hört man den Fernseher als auch jeden Schritt auf dem Flur, wenn jemand nachts oder morgens vorbeigeht. Kein Rauchmelder in der Küche vorhanden, der war abgebaut, man hat noch die Halterung gesehen. Lage: 18 Minuten zu Fuß zur SBahn sind optimistisch und für Schnellgeher eingeplant. Eher 25 Minuten langsam gehend. Dadurch muss man doch einiges an Zeit einplanen, um in die Stadt zu kommen. Leider war es im Gesamten kein guter Aufenthalt, vor allem - aber nicht nur - durch den penetranten Zigarettenrauch. Wir sind einen Tag früher abgereist als geplant. Hinweis für Familien: die Etagen sind durch steile Treppen zu erreichen. Vor allem die Treppe in das obere Geschoss hat keine ausreichende Sicherung, ist an einer Seite offen und unten auch nicht blockierbar.

Sehr ruhige Lage

Sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Wohnung war nicht richtig sauber. Beim Backofen benutzen, hatte man klebrige Finger. In dem Doppelbett kann man nicht liegen. Die Matratze ist komplett durchgelegen. Der Handlauf zum Wohnzimmer fällt fast aus der Wand.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön ausgestattet und für das gewählte Wochenende eine super Unterkunft. Der Parkplatz vor der Tür ist natürlich besonders ideal für weit Anreisende. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Ganz besonders hat uns der natürliche Holzboden gefalle und die gut ausgestattete Küche. Vielen Dank für die Herberge und wir kommen gerne wieder! LG

Das Badezimmer ist natürlich für vier Personen schwierig vom Zeitmanagement, aber hat auch geklappt.

Schöne Unterkunft

Eine gemütliche Ferienwohnung mit allem was man braucht. Nette Gastgeberin, sind viel eher angekommen und konnten trotzdem schon einchecken, vielen Dank noch mal dafür. Die Lage ist super, Umgebung ist ruhig und trotzdem super zentral, alles gut erreichbar auch mit Bus und Bahn.
