Dalkeith 2025

Clean and well equipped, good for our family situation. Good for public transport to Edinburgh.

The stairs to the apartment were a challenge with our large amount of luggage, parking was limited on occasions particularly during work hours. Nothing was insurmountable though.

We had a great stay visiting Dalkeith for a family wedding. The communication from the hosts was excellent and nothing

The properly was a great size for us as a family of 5 and had everything we needed for our stay. Was within walking distance to every amenity and close to visit Edinburgh.

We were a bit apprehensive from the outside appearance of the property, but once inside we where more than happy. And the area was very quiet at night.

Mostly great property but the hosts need MUCH better communication response!

The place was mostly great, the space was what we expected and the location was convenient with good bus service to Edinburgh

The hosts were very responsive before our arrival, and then completely unresponsive after we had paid both the entire bill and an extra fee for early check-in. We had difficulties with the check-in due to our lack of internet service (a concern that we had communicated in advance). When we did have trouble and tried to contact the hosts multiple times by email and text, they simply didn't respond. We've asked for a refund for the early check-in, and still no response. In addition, the advertised washing machine was in a closet buried by storage items, so was virtually inaccessible and we couldn't use it.

Perfect for our needs.

We travelled to Scotland to attend a wedding at Dalhousie castle. The property was in a perfect location to easily get to the castle by taxi and a day in Edinburgh the following day catching the bus. The apartment was very comfortable and the host could not of been more helpful and prompt with any questions that we had.

The entrance and the stairs up to the property is quite scruffy, but don’t be put off because the apartment is light, airy and comfortable.

Location of apartment and good size of rooms.....and having two bathrooms 👍 we also had plenty towels and kitchen crockery etc

Regarding recycling our rubbish there was no information on what bin was for what rubbish. We didn't know what bin was for glass, paper, plastic or Non recyclable??? Also there was a lack of hangers in the wardrobes. 😒

The property was immaculate, new, and very well done. The kitchen and two bathroom really helped. We had only three, but it could hold 6 comfortably. the living room was quite comfortable. highly recommend.

It was on an upper floor. once we were checked in it didn’t matter though.

To far from city centre 8. Very expensive 9. Noisy 10. If arrivals earlier no store for luggage 11. No reception (only communicate by phone) 12. There is timer for heater so the ground to much cold

The flat was lovely. Nice and clean. Easy into Edinburgh.

Having to strip the beds and bag at the end of the stay....Having to remove my own rubbish ....I understand the recycling but I don't pay to stay at hotels and empty my own bin or strip my own beds. This wasn't made clear when I booked on booking .com. to be honest it just added hassle I didn't need when preparing to leave this morning. It also wasn't given in an advance warning that washing up liquid or dish washer tabs were required. I assumed that at least a small portion would of been provided to at least do the first load of dishes till I could of popped to shops, again hassle I didn't need

Nice clean flat, comfortable and good facilities. Decent location- only takes around 20.minutes to get to Edinburgh but plenty of amenities within a 2 minute drive. Very good communication with Louise throughout the stay Nice easy instructions for the flat

Eine sehr gute Wohnung für den Preis!

Die Unterkunft war groß genug für 5 Personen . Die Betten waren gut und die Umgebung/Nachbarschaft war sehr ruhig. Es gibt eine gute Busverbindung mi 5£bis nach Edinburgh und in der Ortschaft selber gibt es genug Einkaufsmöglichkeiten . Es gibt auch sehr schöne Wanderwege um Dalkeith rum zum Beispiel mit einem Essen gehen bei the Stables.

Es gab nur ein großes Badetuch pro Person und keine kleinen Handtücher und die Wohnung war nicht so sauber. Die Spiegel und der Glastisch waren nicht geputzt und die Heizungen verstaubt. Auch in der Küche fehlten Küchentücher sowie Küchenrollen. Ein großer Topf und eine große Salatschüssel wäre auch hilfreich gewesen. Dafür gab es mehrere kleine Töpfe und Bratpfannen. In einem Schlafzimmer ist der WLAN Router für die ganze Wohnung neben dem Bett installiert.
