Mount Snow is the largest big skiing near NYC. It is great fun with friendly people, the very best lessons and largest snow-board park in the north-east! Sleeping Arrangements & Housekeeping
The home is designed to cater to larger groups, with 12 separate beds for comfort and flexibility.
Each bed is supplied with pillows, mattress pads, and blankets. To keep the rental environmentally friendly and costs competitive, guests are asked to bring their own sheets and pillowcases. An extra blanket is recommended if desired.
This approach helps reduce the burden on maid service and allows us to maintain affordable pricing.
Occupancy & Fire Safety
The house can comfortably sleep up to 12 people.
Vermont fire safety law now limits short-term rental occupancy to 8 guests unless a sprinkler system is installed. (While this requirement may feel arbitrary—it was introduced only recently—I want guests to know that for over 20 years I’ve hosted friends and family of up to 15 people here without incident. The home is equipped with fire alarms in every room and three fire extinguishers for safety. Nevertheless, we are required to comply with current state regulations.)
For this reason, we can only approve up to 8 short-term guests.
Longer-term stays (such as monthly rentals) may legally accommodate up to 12 guests.
Any additional guests beyond these limits would be an unapproved use of the property and would be the sole responsibility of the guests.

Ken came to the rescue when our original reservation was double booked! He made sure we were taken care in a very quick manner and responded to all of my inquiries timely!

Our group was a 3 generation family ranging in age from 4-60’s. The house was as described. There was a large downstairs room with pool table, small tv and and 2 sofas. It was very comfortable. The 4 person hot tub is in a 3 season room off this room.
The main floor was open and had a huge sofa that could seat 8-10. There was a large fireplace which we didn’t use. A table that sat 6-8 in the kitchen. If you have a large group there isn’t room for everyone to sit at the table, but we sat on the couch and table to eat which was fine. Wifi was accessible.
Previous reviews said the host was very responsive which I'm going to guess is accurate should the need arise. I will preface this by saying there was no instance I needed to contact him. I did send 2 emails and a text which were not read--1 included the contract which he called me about 2 days later-when told I sent them he was able to find. The 2nd had a non-urgent question which I managed to find the answer to subsequently.
The text was just an exit FYI that we had left prior to checkout time. I presume calling is the best method.
There were a lot of rules with what charges would be incurred if anything was broken/missing--not unusual, but extensive. Luckily we did not break anything including the rules :)
Overall, the check in procedure was seamless, the house was as described. Lots of beds for our extended family.
It was very comfortable. We had a great stay!

The house was very clean and well organized. Ken left detailed instructions on everything that needed to be done and was readily available if we had questions. The fireplace and common area are spacious. They were great places for everyone to hang out. The location is unbeatable, 7 minutes to the mountain and close to restaurants. Hot tub was clean and a great addition after a day of skiing. We would recommend this house for large groups desiring a great location and good host.

Great Location. Beautiful fireplace. Fun times with a party of 16. 8 adults and 8 children, plenty of space. Ken was very responsive and helpful with all our questions. 10 minute ride to Mount Snow. Highly recommended.
