About this apartment rental

The self-contained, one bedroom apartment is suitable for two adults or one adult with older child. It is set adjacent and detached from owners property in the quiet village of Middleton- by- Youlgrave approximately half a mile from the village of Youlgrave. Youlgrave has three pubs and two shops which provide visitors the opportunity to dine out and purchase local produce.
Located centrally to the market towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Ashbourne and Buxton, the apartment is ideal as a base to explore the Peak District or take a leisurely stroll from the door; cyclists are within easy reach of the Tissington Trail cycling route.
There is ample parking and a dedicated outdoor seating area within the gardens for relaxing.
Please note, access to the apartment is via one flight of stairs to the rear of garages.
All bedding, towels etc provided and there are electric heaters for those chilly evenings.

Accomodation spacious & spotless. The views were stunning from any window you chose. The gardens beautiful & were alliwed ti sit in them. There are 3 pubs close by & a coop & cake shop.The scenery besutiful, host was very pleasant just couldn't ask for a more tranquil settling , peace & quite heavenly. Would highly recommended just to unwind

The apartment was spacious and very comfortable in a beautiful and tranquil garden setting. Access to many walks from the property - no need to drive every day. Interesting market towns nearby and some National Trust properties an hour or so away. Youlgreave is in walking distance- 3 pubs serving food and some shops with local produce.

Comfy and clean. Everything you needed for a few nights stay, had lots of local info for buses, walks etc. garden was pretty and a sheltered patio to sit out on without getting sunburnt. Overlooked fields and horses. Off road parking. Excellent

Exactly as per description and one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed. Everything you need for cooking is provided. So peaceful with so many walks on the doorstep; choose easy and short or longer and a little more arduous - plenty of paths. The patio area is a lovely bonus, it was so nice to sit out with a cuppa! We’re definitely planning on returning, having stayed in several other locations in a 10 mile radius, this is the best; if we could give 6 stars we would!

We loved everything about this place. It's in a fantastic rural setting, and is very comfortable. The apartment is clean, spacious and very well equipped. Outside the gardens are lovely, and there are views of fields and trees on both sides. The host provided lots of interesting information about the local area, and there were walks from the doorstep. This is a great location for exploring the Peak District.

An excellent base for visiting the Peak District. The flat was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Off road parking and use of a private garden was lovely. A quiet village location, 20 minute walk into Youlgrave with shops and pubs. We had an excellent meal at The George Hotel which we would recommend. Thank you Elaine for making our stay so easy.

Peaceful location with amazing views. The Apartment is located in a beautiful area but still close to the A6 for getting out & about. Lovely walks right on the doorstep too. The Apartment is a good size & well equipped. The rooms all provide great views of the area. Booked our stay here after realising we had not stayed in Derbyshire before & so pleased we did, thank you Elaine for making us feel so welcome.

The apartment was very very clean , a lot of windows in all rooms with fantastic view of the country ,fantastic. We have the nice garden all for us with total privacy. Elaine is very helpful and kind. Middleton is a small village with old cottages and beautiful gardens. We loved it. A lot of walkings from the house, no need of the car if you want to walk around, but for shopping we must go to Bakewell , 6 miles away. Fantastic holidays in a fantastic place

I loved staying here. The owner was very welcoming. The apartment was clean and had everything I needed. I loved being able to have a nice, private garden space to enjoy being outside. I also appreciated the little covered seating area when it rained. The location was great. I loved being near a farm and being able to safely (there was a sidewalk) walk into the town. The overall location was perfect for my travels in the area.

We loved this apartment. It is located perfectly, near the center of the Peak District, giving easy access to many key destinations. The bedroom was large and comfortable, the lounge spacious and cozy, and the kitchen a great size and nicely appointed. The bathroom was also very nice. Lots of windows made it feel open and roomy, and provided great views. Off-street parking is provided and we sat and read in the lovely garden. The only hiccup for us was no laundry during a longer stay. The owners were wonderful and we can't say enough about our experience. Highly recommended.

I had such a lovely restful stay at this little apartment. A super place to escape to, do some writing and big walks. The apartment is well equipped with lovely views across the garden and nearby countryside. I also really appreciated that the hosts were happy for me to use the garden. What a gem of a place! A wonderful clean property just right for exploring the countryside, a haven for walkers, unfortunately we cannot walk far but the property was in a very good location giving us all the places we wanted to visit. There is also a lovely garden at the property we we could sit in and relax, was lovely to sit there with a book and enjoy a glass of wine
