I'm a wedding photographer and have had the pleasure of working in the Trasimeno area for the last few years. My partner and I decided that we'd like to combine a holiday with work, and on this occasion we wanted to enjoy some time near to the lake. After (a lot) of deliberation, we happened upon this apartment which looked to fit our budget, location and facilities. As we had a few road trips in mind, we were happy with the east side of the lake, and in particular that it was easy to head in any direction by car. Our arrival flight was delayed, but Antonio helped us to stay in contact over WhatsApp. We ended up a few hours late, but this wasn't a problem for Antonio, and we were met by Sara who welcomed us to the apartment and showed us around. A faultless welcome. When daylight hit the very next day, we were pleased to see the view across the lake. The apartment location is very peaceful, and you do get that 'out of town' feeling which is great for relaxing. There's a nearby swimming pool, shared by only a small number of residents. The amenities are as described by the apartment listing. There's a few supermarkets only 5-10 minutes drive away, and as I love to cook, we stocked up on a few things for the week. Whilst the apartment offers an array of cooking utensils, I did find a couple of things missing. One is a wooden spoon which made making risotto a bit of a challenge. We also found a lack of wine glasses, which we were surprised by given that we were in the land of good wine! However, after contacting Antonio he promptly apologised and gave us recommendations as to where to get some from. Long story short, we had to travel thirty minutes in the car just to find some, so it's no wonder Antonio had trouble providing them to begin with! In any case, we were very grateful for his help. In general, we loved our stay at the apartment. The size was just right for two people, the views are superb and you have (almost) everything you need for cooking. If you prefer not to cook, there are a number of restaurants only a few minutes drive away. One of the small issues we had was the sheer amount of mosquitos outside. We aren't going to mark the apartment down for this, because it's nature. However, one evening we had hundreds on the front door and we couldn't leave the apartment. My only suggestion is that the owners could consider an electric fly killer installed outside. We definitely felt trapped. Overall, we'd definitely return.
