Vila Curtea de Arges

Pleasant stay and the host was very responsive. Great value for one or two nights. Residential area was quiet and the surrounding trees made it feel secluded. Parking was good.

Furniture in the living area was sparse. Closest amenities are a 15 minute walk—you’ll need a car.

The bedroom are cozy, the bathroom is clean with hot water, and everything you need is provided. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The price is very reasonable for the quality offered. A great place to stay overnight if you plan to ride the Transfagarasan route.

Nothing, everything was perfect. The house is a little creaky.

On-site parking is great, functioning (albeit a bit too complicated) shower, microwave, close proximity to Lidl.

The cleanliness of the rooms left a lot to be desired. There was an odd odor, along with plenty of dead (and not so dead) bugs. The bathroom lacked shampoo, the hand soap dispenser was practically empty, one of the forks even had a dried piece of tomato skin (?) on it (while I'm sure the host would have resolved my issues, these things should have been checked prior to my arrival in my opinion). The lower level stayed nice and cool even in the summer heat, but the upper floor was hot and stuffy (credit where credit is due, there was a fan on the nightstand next to the bed). I suppose I could have opened a window, but I didn't want any more "roommates" than I already had. Overall, I just got the distinct impression that the space had not been properly prepared for my arrival.
