Lovely views of the Douro. The house was comfortable with most of the basics you’d need. In advance, I asked the host if basic cooking items were provided and I was told no - only to find on arrival that these items were available (presumably left by previous guests). Too cold to use the pool when we visited, but the outdoor space was lovely and we enjoyed the mornings and evenings on the terrace taking in the beautiful views.
Check-in instructions prior to arrival would’ve been useful. Arrived at the property but had to call host as hadn’t received lock box code prior to arrival. Additionally, details of what to do when checking out would’ve been useful. The house is tired in places, and the downstairs fuse kept tripping overnight meaning we couldn’t use sockets in the bedroom. Dogs in nearby properties were very noisy in the evening which was a shame as otherwise it was very peaceful. Very steep climb up to the property - thankfully we had a small car so it was manageable, but can imagine in a large vehicle it would be a challenge!

The house was amazing, very well located and with great conditions. You could see the sunrise and sunset with view for the river. The pool was amazing, located in a very private location with a view to the mountains and river. We used the Barbecue area wish was in great conditions, with all the tools you need. The living room has an amazing view to the river and mountains. We'll definitely return! The house is also well located from the near "cities".
