About this villa rental

This beautiful traditional French mas sleeps 8 comfortably and offers you an ideal holiday haven set in the peaceful countryside surrounding St Remy de Provence. Four tastefully decorated bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms are situated in the main house. A guardian lives on the premises, in an outbuilding located to the back of the property, Monday through Friday to assist with any special requests or just a good source of information on the region. The house is spacious and boasts many traditional provencal features such as the large fireplace in the salon and the exposed beams all around the house. Decorated throughout with taste in a classic style, the house is equipped with all necessary items for a relaxing vacation.
The gardens around the property have been filled with native plants such as lavender, olive trees, rosemary and vines. Relax in the large pool, play a game of boules, petanque or stretch out and catch a few rays on the loungers whilst listening to the cigales in August or dine al fresco on the terrace under the pergola whilst admiring the view of the Alpilles and the town below.

We came to Provence to celebrate my husband’s birthday. This home was ideal for a family gathering. It is architecturally beautiful and the pool area is stunning. It was clean and well supplied and Jocelyn was delightful and very helpful.We will return to this wonderful place!

A phenomenal week in a gorgeous spot. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids age 7 and 11) spent the past week in this beautiful old farmhouse. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the village of St. Remy, and easily situated 30-50 minutes from other towns in the area. The house is comfortable and the grounds are gorgeous. Jocelyn, the property manager was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants/ things to do in the area. (He connected us to Julie, a private chef in the area, for a dinner at the house, which was one of the highlights of the trip.) The pool is unheated but refreshing in the summer heat. Would highly recommend and hope to return.

Beautiful spacious house set in garden of fragrant lavendar and rosemary . Fantastic pool area. We had many games of petanque. Jocelyn was very helpful on all matters. We loved St Remy . Many wonderful restaurants and art to see. And the amazing Van Gogh walk. We had local chef Julie come and cook a meal for us. Fabulous.

What a beautiful place to stay at and the manager was very helpful. Very spread-out villa and with there being six of us, it was the perfect place. The weather got a bit cooler so we weren't able to use the pool but it looked very inviting. We had a 9 passenger van and did fine going up the gated driveway. Wished we could have stayed longer. I'd highly recommend this villa for your stay in St. Remy.

This house is BEAUTIFUL, tastefully decorated, Comfortable and has Spacious rooms with a great kitchen and a gorgeous Yard and swimming pool. It is especially beautiful in the evenings at Sunset! Our friends and family enjoyed the “ambience” of the house,yard and Living areas. We had Breakfast outside and Julie the chef, cooked 2 FABULOUS dinners for us….. we had stunning sunsets and Enjoyed our daily excursions to St. Remy and other beautiful towns and vineyards nearby. We came “home “ each night and relaxed, drank wine and beer and had wonderful dinners, (Leftovers from Julie and 2 from our group were great cooks). Jocylen was ALWAYS checking to make sure everything was perfect and Shared some delicious wine and beer with us! He could not have been more attentive as well as charming. I HIGHLY recommend this House and Yes! DO sign Julie up!!! She is a pleasure, speaks beautiful English and Is an EXCELLENT chef!!!

Our entire family absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful and quintessentially Provence home. Jocelyn, our host, went above and beyond to help with everything we needed - he is truly the best ever host! He had the grocery shopping done and the refrigerator stocked when we arrived - which was wonderful. He recommended a private chef, Adrien - it was the BEST dinner of many for our week. We highly recommend this experience. With temperatures above 100 degrees - we loved coming home to a cool home and a fantastic pool. The design of this home is spa-like and peaceful with the best views around the area. The location is perfect for a quick drive into town for groceries, shopping and dinner. We loved Edu, Bistro du St. Remy for dinner and Collette for morning coffee. We drove one hour to Marseille for a boat tour (Blue Evasion) - 10 person boat with tour and snorkeling along the Calanques. Don's miss a trip to Gordes - like a fairy tale. Obviously - I can't say enough good about this VRBO stay. We'll be back.

The pictures don’t do this property justice. The location was ideal, close to town but with an amazing view. Would definitely stay here again- plenty of room for our family of five. Went to the markets and cooked many meals at home- the kitchen had everything we needed. Wished we could have stayed longer!

Our amazing stay in St Remy began with my initial contact with the host, Dar, and the property manager, Jocelyn. Both were incredibly responsive. We needed a car and driver and Jocelyn arranged that for us and followed up to be sure we were taken care of. He also arranged for a shopper to pick up our initial grocery order since we were arriving late. The property itself is amazing. We were "wowed"with every room. It is a very well appointed and maintained upscale original farmhouse style with beautiful grounds. We didn't want to leave!!

We enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of this wonderful property. The home was spacious with a nice swimming pool. We dined al fresco and witnessed some of the most beautiful sunsets. Jocelyn, our property manager, was excellent in every way. We had a little problem finding the property, but Jocelyn handled it and all was good. Jocelyn was knowledgeable about the area and was able to give us recommendations for some of the most amazing places to visit. He went above and beyond to help us. We would stay at this property again in the future if we visit St. Remy again.

Our stay was fantastic. The house is very comfortable- we had 6 adults and there is plenty of room for privacy and for gathering. Don’t underestimate the luxury of a pool during the summer in Provence! The yard is beautifully landscaped and the sunsets are sublime. If you can, have Marie from Merci Marie cook you a meal. Ours was extraordinary and the highlight of our trip.

The house is lovely, well equipped, has plenty of space and an excellent outdoors, garden and pool. Our teenagers also appreciated the very good wifi. The property has a on-site ( but brilliantly absent unless needed) housekeeper, Jocelyn who was determinedly helpful whenever needed. We loved the whole experience and enjoyed our second trip to St Remy.

This property is well situated near the walled center of the city; it is a very easy 15 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants in town. There are shops nearby for food as well as an Intermarché supermarket for cooking at home. The house itself is lovely, with comfortable beds and a gracious layout. The pool is wonderful and at the front of the house there is a pétanque court. We enjoyed sightseeing both in St. Rémy and in other areas of Provence, returning home for a swim and a glass of wine before making dinner. Jocelyn, the friendly and accessible house manager, lives on-site in an attached apartment with his own entrance. We never saw him except for a glimpse through the window as he was coming and going to his day job. Once he greeted us on check in, he was available to us via Whatsapp for all manner of questions that we had and helped us with reservations at restaurants, suggestions for mountain biking and rock climbing, and sight seeing too. Recommend highly!

We had an absolutely incredible time during our stay. This place is so beautiful it really felt like we were staying on a movie set. Everything is so thoughtfully decorated inside and out. The pictures do not even come close to doing this property justice. It has such a good positive vibe and you can tell the house has been loved. Stephanie is the house manager for the property and she was the best! She was very communicative offering suggestions regarding restaurants, etc. She kept in contact with us as needed for our stay and even arranged for us to get the covid tests we needed in St. Remy to fly back to the US. She really went above and beyond to make our stay great. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Our family just spent an amazing week at this beautiful home in Provence. The photos on the website don't begin to do justice to the grounds and architecture of the home. It is stunning and completely private because of exquisite landscaping everywhere you look yet only a 15 minute walk into the heart of beautiful downtown St. Remy. The pool was lovely and well-kept and the kitchens and bathrooms are updated yet still retain old-world charm. There is air conditioning in the kitchen and master bedroom but the other bedrooms do not have it. It was not an issue during our stay since the weather was absolute perfection. The home could benefit from some updated furnishings in the living room and bedrooms but overall this is a wonderful home for a family vacation and I highly recommend St. Remy de Provence as a part of the world to explore! Also Dar (property manager) and his house manager, Stephanie, were so great and helped with recommendations for things to do in the area and were easily reachable. The house is beautiful. The photos do not do it justice. Stephanie the local agent was so kind and helpful. We brought our two year old and there was a crib for him even without us requesting one. The pool is gorgeous, gated on a hill with an amazing view. Walking distance to Saint-Remy de Provence in a quiet neighborhood. This is a great location to see the luberon and only 30 min from Avignon and 20 from Les Baux by car. There is a trail nearby for running or walking along a creek or canal. The house stays relatively cool with the two ac units upstairs and down, though we were staying during the hottest days of the year so it got a bit warm but the kitchen and most bedrooms cooled down at night. Any other week and it would have been perfectly cool. We will definitely stay again here!

Dommage que, pour le prix, des prestations ne soient pas plus raffinées. - linge de maison dépareillé et vieillot - draps de bains de toutes les couleurs, il y en avait même un troué ! - des oreillers de mauvaise qualité - transats bas de gamme et tachés ‐ matelas du canapé de piscine complètement déchiré et sale - pas de porte pour les WC de la piscine - le coin bar de la piscine devrait être mieux aménagé avec au moins un petit frigo, la piscine étant éloignée de la cuisine principale ‐ manque de pression dans certaines salles de bains - éclairage insuffisant dans les salles de bains et le dressing ‐ pas de livret d'accueil - climatisation dans une seule chambre, ce qui n'est pas précisé dans l'annonce Bref on sent que le propriétaire rechigne à faire certaines petites dépenses et c'est plutôt frustrant. Saint Rémy est vraiment agréable et le mas est très beau!
