Very disappointing

Bed was comfortable and room was nice and warm

Room had dirty marks on the walls, tv was not working and no hairdryer in the room as advertised, which really annoyed me as I have to travel light and specifically booked this room as it said it had hairdryer. I was not able to have a shower as planned as I need a hairdryer to dry my hair! I was put in the room 1 right next door to the front door, which would have been great if the front door was closed, but it was wide open all night and made me feel very on edge that anyone could have walked into the property off the street. As for the rooms being sound proofed, absolutely not, I was awake most of the night with the sound of cars and people shouting passing by on the busy road outside and also kept hearing creaky floor boards right outside my room door at early hours of the morning, was very disturbing. Then to top it all off, went to get breakfast, which was very poor choice, had the option of croissant, croissant or croissant, oh and a yoghurt and a banana, as all the cerial boxes were virtually empty, also felt and looked very grubby down in the kitchen, dirty dishes and worktops etc. Not a pleasant experience at all, I would not recommend staying here, it certainly is not worth the price they are charging.

It sucked!

No reception desk! No TV! No phone call answers .Hotel phone number didn't work! No indication or directions for breakfast. First thing I did was kill a spider in the room. Bathroom is on an outside wall with no heater.A real disappointment!

Great value for money, good sleep and close to train station

The staff member on the phone was so helpful and friendly, we were very thankful to him for letting us stay a little later in the morning as we were heading to a wedding. The continental breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. The shower was really nice and bathroom was very modern. We found our stay great value for money and super close to the train station from the airport.

The bed sheets were stained with make up and pen marks, however this can be easily fixed by relapsing them with a newer set and doesn’t reflect on the property as it was very clean. I would recommend bringing earplugs for sleeping as you can heat the street and people coming into the building, which I had with me so I slept good. We could not get the tv to work so perhaps instructions in the room would be helpful too.

Extremely poor standards and service

Absolutely nothing, avoid at all costs

Our experience at this establishment was deeply disappointing. The room was in an unacceptable state of cleanliness, with visible hairs, unpleasant odours of cigarettes and sewage, and generally unsanitary conditions. The facilities appeared neglected, with worn and damaged flooring and a sense of disrepair. Equally concerning was the conduct of the owner, whose business practices were unprofessional. An unconditional refund was offered and then not honoured, and when reasonable issues were raised, the response was more than dismissive and absolutely discourteous. Overall, this was among the worst accommodations we have ever encountered, and we strongly advise others to avoid staying here.

Lovely clean and comfortable room

The location was great, just a short walk into the centre. The room was lovely, it was very clean and had everything we needed for a night's stay. We called the host to check in, this was straight forward and it didn't take long to get into our room.

The communal kitchen was left in a bit of a mess when we went through in the morning, pots left about, milk on the floor etc. Not sure if other residents live there permanently or if it's other visitors, either way not really the hotels fault if people don't clean up after themselves but definitely put us off using the kitchen!

Great location, shame about the filth

The location was great for proximity to the train station. Check in was very easy

The shower had black mould in it. The toilet seat was not affixed properly therefore precarious to use. The extractor fan was so filthy that it could not function - hair, cobwebs black stuff hanging from it.

The bathroom corners mouldy Room to hot and when called the emergency number in the room to request for a fun, no body answer nor was there a return call for the message left Kitchen window had cobwebs did not have the bin emptied the three nights l was there. Facility not disabled friendly. Also the bathrooms toilet seat not steady kept shifting upon sitting. My impression is they do not really care about the customer as they have already paid before entry. I would not be able to recommend this place to friends and families. Most disheartening of all the had blinds which could be full drawn or full open thereby exposing the room. That is no proper privacy

struggled with getting into property , was ringing bell and ringing phone number but no answer, someone rang us back and talked us through getting into the property so was dealt with and into our room in 10 minutes or so

Location

The room is extremely small, if you have a suitcase you won't be able to open it in the room, the toilet is very dirty, the toilet seat is cracked (they've been talking about it for the last 2 years and the owner doesn't do anything about it?) The toilet is so small that you have to open the door to wipe yourself with a towel. The shower has mold and is not clean. The room smells of damp. Breakfast in the basement - horrible, feeling cold, the walls are dirty. Glasses, dishes, as if no one comes to clean. I would never go there again.

Lovely hot water.

Sadly no attention to detail, carpets dirty, bottle top and paper under the bottom end of the bed, bedding was screwed up, so it gave the impression it wasn't clean. The toilet seat was broken and dirty when you lifted the seat. The toilet brush was awful and needed changing. Generally just no attention to detail. No heating before the morning, but although it was really cold, the room was ok. Definitely not for anyone who can't climb steep stairs

Didn’t get shown around, had to wait around for the owner to let us in, no mirror in the room, didn’t get shown or told where the kitchen was for the breakfast in the morning, tried to put us in two rooms when we paid for 3. The bedding was damp in one of the rooms as though it had been sprayed and not changed. The floor was all wet in the bathroom

I liked the location and the fact that it was only few minutes away from the train station and town centre.

The bedding looked as though it has not been changed. Also, there was no plug in the bathroom sink and I almost lost a ring. I didn't like the fact that in order to switch off the night lights, which were positioned on both sides of the bed, I had to get out of bed and then walk back to bed in the darkness.

Close to train station, only good thing

Wouldn’t recommend staying here at all….. the toilet seat is broken, door frame is slowly coming off, lights don’t work and have weak ones around it, seat in room is broken, no towels (when i messaged to ask for one as it says they provide them, i had to wait a few hours then he called me and said “what do you want now” and then said they don’t have anymore available!!!!, fire alarm has gone off twice through fault of person working here. We could hear also hear people walking upstairs and outside our room, was very loud unfortunately, we found it hard to sleep

Lovely stay

The room was very clean. Bed extremely comfortable. Heating was easy to use and room heated up fast. Shower hot and powerful. Very good value for money. Gave us extended check out as one of the party was in hospital and could get make it out for 11 for free.

Excellent base near the city centre

Stayed due to a train strike it was perfect for me. I felt safe. You don't actually meet anyone - you speak to them on the phone and they guide you in and around. Cctv everywhere.
