About this apartment rental

The apartment has Wifi and is on the ground floor with direct access to a small terrace and communal garden. There is a ski locker and garage with internal access to the Apartment. The building is less than 100m from Bellevue cable car, open in summer and winter. The Apartment is fitted to a high standard, with traditional furnishings. In the kitchen there is a dishwasher/oven/microwave, raclette and a large fridge. T.V. giving access to the internet, DVD's, Games and a CD player are provided. In the entrance hall there is a boot dryer. In the family bathroom there is a full size bath and quality Grohe shower with a washing machine. In the double bedroom there is a new quality King Size Bed (1600 x 2000mm). In the second bedroom, there are 2 single beds. In the living area there is a pull-out sofa bed, which is the size of a small double. Please note that an additional charge is made for bedding if there are more than 4 people. The Apartment sleeps 4 persons best. The Apartment has a south-facing sheltered garden area. In the summer outdoor furniture and a BBQ are provided. For those people with limited mobility, there are 18 steps between the entrance and the apartment door.
The ski area in Les Houches is 'family friendly', the rest of the Chamonix Valley is easily accessible by bus, car and train. The bus stop is at the cable car. The train station is a 15 minute walk from the Apartment. By using the ski bus or the train, you can access the other ski areas in the Chamonix valley, which are world famous, with something for everyone. The train also allows you to access the ski areas of Megeve and St Gervais. In summer Mont Blanc is stunning, and cycling, walking and paraponting are wonderful!

Les Houches has a selection of good restaurants, with several just a short walk away. There are numerous bars and 2 supermarkets.

Perfect jumping off point just next to the Bellevue Lift and Ligne 1 bus. Easy access to all. If you are looking to spend a lot of time indoors this may not be for you as the living space is small but for our stay it was perfect!

Stayed for a weeks family skiing in February. Apartment is well situated for the Bellevue lift and access to the village / shops / ski bus to Chamonix. Comfortable and clean apartment with a good amount of space for relaxing after skiing. Particularly nice shower and plenty of hot water (sometimes an issue with two kids!). Really enjoyed our stay!

The apartment is a bit small, but very nice and very clean. We had a great time and would come back. There is a huge DVD collection, which the kids enjoyed a lot. The kitchen is fully equipped and we didn’t miss anything.

Went for a weeks skiing at Les Houches in February. Apartment was just what we needed - comfortable beds, good showers and a relaxing lounge area. There was a library of DVDs (kids and adults) available that were a godsend after a long day skiing. Kitchen was well equipped. The position is near to the Bellevue lift and it’s rental shops but note that the ski school meet just over a 5 minute walk away at the Prarion lift. If you are using the ski school, it is well worth renting a locker at the Prarion lift so you can walk in regular shoes - it would be a tough walk with kids in ski boots. Communication before and during our stay was excellent. And although we didn’t have any problems during our stay, I was confident they would have been dealt with quickly. Great apartment, many thanks!

We know Les Houches well and were looking for somewhere close to the Bellevue lift, this was perfect at about 100m! Also close to our favourite pub the Kitsch inn. Apartment was perfect for 4. We were 5 and while the sofa bed was a good size it was a bit of a squash for eating etc.

Confortable, very clean at arrival, Bed sheets are included as Hotel room. Fresh air & calm allow to sleep in peace in summer. Chamonix is a spectacular place with multipasses. You can rent with trust. Simon & paula have been more professionnal than some Hotels.

Is perfect --- in catalan -- : Apart-hotel molt confortable, dues habitacions complertes, armaris, banys, molt net, cuina equipada amb rentaplats i tot, tv, internet... Varem estar 8 dies i varem estar molt be. Hi ha una sortida exterior on es pot estar just a continuació de la sala d estar. Tenen una TV grossa , amb connexió a internet i un munt de pelicules en DVD ( en anglès això si) que podràs mirar. M he guardat les dades per recomanar-ho a familiars i amics que vulguin anar-hi. Per anar a Chamonix hi anavem en cotxe particular ( hi ha uns 5 o 6 km) tot i que si pot anar en transport public de forma gratuïta amb un document que s aconsegueix a informació i turisme .

Everything is extremely well organized, and the furniture is indeed of good taste. We (a couple and two small children) felt very comfortable. The mattresses are good and 190 cm long. The DVD collection is impressive, and our children were happy with the Lego toys. There is a long solid steel bar installed in the main bathroom to suspend ski suits in front of the powerful heating. Thank you for the bottle of wine, which was indeed of good taste. The kitchen is very useful. We suggest nevertheless some improvements: - The anti-adhesive layer of one or two casseroles is detaching and may mix with the food. Please consider if the replacement of them would make sense. - The sharp knives are not very useful, they are difficult to use and may even prove dangerous. Perhaps they could be replaced? - There are very few small spoons left. Maybe you could buy some new ones? - A toaster would be a great pleasure!

The owners have really thought about everything one needs. The apartment was clean and well laid out. The position was great for access to The Bellevue cable car and to have a restaurant as good as Le Basilic nearby is a real bonus. Paula was very responsive to any questions we asked. The apartment is perfectly located less than 5 minutes walk from the Bellevue lifts and 10 minutes walk to the Prarion lifts. The local bus, free with lift pass, stops outside to connect with all other ski areas in the Chamonix valley or to just go to Chamonix town for shopping or a meal in the afternoon or evening. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen and plenty of DVD's, books and games to choose from. There is also a smart TV with Netflix. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, there was plenty of hot water available for showers and a bath. The owner was extremely helpful during booking and with extra information when asked. The arrival information is comprehensive and accurate. Whilst we didn't use it, underground parking is available and also a ski locker. We wouldn't hesitate using the apartment again or recommending it to friends.

Great apartment for family.

We spent six nights in this apartment between 12/31 and 1/6. There were four adults and two six-year old children in our group. With three beds and a fold out, it was a little tight, but we made it work just fine. The apartment was very clean, we had all the amenities that we needed, and the owners were very responsive to our questions throughout the whole process. We skied at two nearby resorts in the Chamonix valley, had plenty of room in the apartment for all ski clothing, and the gear either stayed in the cars or in the locker downstairs. It was very nice to have a locked garage for our car to keep it secure and dry. The quick 5 minute walk to the bakery every morning was very convenient for breakfast croissants and other fresh and delicious pastries. We watched several movies with the kids that were provided in the apartment and even had Raclette one night with the provided equipment. There was plenty of warm water for our group and the washing machine was used more than once. All in all, a fantastic stay in a great location for a week of vacation in the Chamonix valley. We hope to return some day in the summer to enjoy the warm weather on the back porch! We would definitely recommend this apartment to our friends.

Close to the Bellevue lifts at Les Houches and handy for the free bus service to Chamonix and the other ski areas. Led Houches was very quiet as only one green run open.Apartment very well appointed. Complimentary wine most appreciated. Would highly recommend but personally I would wait until late Jan/Feb if I were coming again for skiing.However all was not lost as Courmayeur had good snow and is easily accessed thru Mont Blanc Tunnel

All as advertised, we have stayed in Les Houches on many occasions and this apartment is the best equipped, kids loved the free Wifi which is a must with teenagers! We even managed to watch our favourite Netflix programmes after a hard day on the slopes. The apartment is next to one of the ski lifts so is ideally located. Really fantastic stay, it's all the little touches and free bottle of wine on arrival that makes it so homely.

On arrival the apartment was warm and inviting. Everything was there to keep us going until we got to the supermarket. The facilities in the apartment were first class and so close to the bars, ski rental and restaurants not to mention the two local ski runs. Having the internet was an added bonus and a collection of DVDs and books that Xtravision would be proud of. For a first time skier the resort was perfect. Weather was great for most of the time. The apartment is so clean, comfortable and inviting and would definitely be back. I would recommend this apartment to everyone. The range of wine, beer in the fridge was much appreciated. Maybe the only thing that we would have liked was extra towels (hand towels) dbut it will not be a deal breaker. Thanks to Paula and Simon for sorting out any issues we had before we arrived and for allowing us the chance of staying in this lovely apartment. We will return again. Thanks Malachy & Una

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was very well kept and maintained, perfectly equipped down to the last detail. Les Houches is a lovely town and the apartment is centrally located. There are many attractions and hikes within an hour drive. We were travelling with two young children and we had a great time - in the apartment and all it had to offer and in the area in general. Highly recommended!

Great location for all the local amenities - boulangerie, tabac, restaurants and cafés. Les houches is a lovely village away from busy chamonix. The apartment was clean and well equipped including a great selection of DVDs and books. The owners sent very comprehensive information ahead of our arrival and have a very good arrangement for handing over the keys. Would definitely recommend to others and will return if in the area again

A really lovely clean apartment with great facilities in an excellent loction. Particularly like the fact it has two bathrooms. Also has great TV and WIFI! We did some Alpine mountaineering, white water rafting and mountain biking. The lift is very close so it's easy to pop back for a bite to eat.

We went mid-November. A tad chilly in the evenings but it’s lovely when the sun comes out; perfect for outdoor activities. Numerous walking and cycling trails in the local area with a quite outdoor climbing wall just up the road by Lac des Chavants. I highly recommend walking up Mt Brevent- stunning views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains. Access to the trail can be found behind the train station and you can carry along the trail to the top and walk down the other side to Chamonix. Lovely well-presented apartment. Outdoor area is a perfect sun trap at lunchtime. Great location, stunning views with very good access to public buses to Chamonix and villages further along the valley. The local train station is only a 15-20 min walk away. All in all it made for an unforgettable holiday.

Stayed in this apartment first week of February and would say is perfectly positioned for everything...ski lifts, shops, bars. Apartment was clean, warm, well equipped and we didn't find anything that was missing for a comfortable self catered stay. A real home from home. The welcome wine and beer was much appreciated...thanks. Communications with new owner Paula quick and easy although we had no need to contact them during our stay...perfect. Thanks again.

Great apartment, well positioned in the village, just a couple of minutes walk from the Bellevue Cable Car giving easy access to the mountains. There is also a lovely patisserie just across the road - perfect for those little treats after a hard day skiing! The apartment is furnished to a high standard, has a well equipped kitchen and bedding and towels are good quality. Access is great with Geneva just over an hour away and with Chamonix just 10 minutes down the road it makes it the perfect holiday location. Jackie was a delight to deal with and very helpful. Looking forward to going back again soon!
