This home is a very special indeed. I don’t even know the words to describe how cozy we were here. We literally fell in love! The hosts are incredibly kind and accommodating - simply lovely people. The home lets you know right away that it is full of stories about what feels like generations of families who have enjoyed its rooms. If these walls could talk I would spend hours delightfully listening. From the well stocked kitchen to the welcoming sunroom where I worked for hours to literally “sitting on the dock of the bay” to the glorious outdoor shower …and on and on and on…this is a must stay! We will be back.

We really enjoyed this house. It has a lot of character and is a great spot. Overall, it was a fantastic vacation.

This was the perfect setting for my family from overseas who came into town for a family wedding! They felt at home, the house was exceptionally well appointed and the setting was beautiful! Thank you Bruce and Alston!!

The property was large enough, and location was great! We had an awesome time crabbing-an experience we will never get again. The back yard facing the inlet was peaceful and relaxing. The house was well-supplied, and we enjoyed the screen porch. However, WIFI and TV didn't work-if you're going to advertise, it should work. I didn't notice any smoke alarms in the house. Check-in/out times and code to get in were different than what I received. Fortunately, there was someone there to help with that. There was a problem with ants, and the first night, a cockroach in our bed. Cockroaches were seen in other areas of the house. We were uncomfortable sleeping and eating all week. The ceiling was leaking, but I understand that happened shortly before we got there. The house definitely needs upkeep and cleaning. We had to do extensive cleaning to get our deposit back, which we did receive in full. We have never had to do this at any other rentals we've stayed at. We paid for linens, which were not in good condition. The fitted sheet was thin with pilling, and no elastic around the bottom. With the 5 star ratings we feel it was deceiving. Although we have never written a poor review prior to this, we just want others to know what to expect.
