The Spacious in the heart of the city centre of Heraklion!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this villa - an easy walk to the sights and museums of Heraklion, close to the bus stop for Knossos. Communication with the owners was excellent, the best I have experienced. The apartment is very central and so there is noise from the surrounding tavernas. However, the triple glazing and running the air conditioning in the bedroom overnight completely masks outside noise. All in all, highly recommended.

Excellent location for visiting the highlights of the local area.

Our taxi could only take us to the edge of the pedestrian district. With Google Maps we tried to locate the apartment but took a wrong turn. We called Stelios who answered the phone right away and his brother Giorgos who was waiting for us quickly retrieved us from the El Greco park. The apartment is only one floor up in the heart of walking centre with a controlled street entrance. While we felt safe in the city, the apartment is very secure which adds to peace of mind. The pictures on VRBO make the apartment appear a little bland and plain... they do not do justice. The apartment is bright with soaring ceilings, exposed stone walls in a few places, doors that open to a small balcony to take in the vibrant city below. There is lots of space that is separated into a breakfast area and living room area. Bathroom is modern and clean. It really does have the feel of a boutique. The laundry machine works perfectly allowing us to do mid-trip laundry. Easy walking to the main sites within the old city walls, the Heraklion Archeological Museum, Peskesi for authentic Cretan fare, bakery for breakfast and supermarket for other supplies. There is a cafe 5 steps from the front door for coffee and sweets in the morning or anytime of day. Stelios is very prompt in responding and a pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend Stelios and his perfectly situated boutique apartment.
