Eclectic home in a beautiful setting

This is a lovely, unconventional home set on a large piece of land. The setting, location and amenities were all as we had hoped. The kitchen is very well appointed, as is the rest of the house, with comfortable furniture in each room. The large deck has 2 dining tables, perfect for outdoor meals. A sandy path to the side of the house leads to one lovely beach, just a short walk away; other paths lead farther along the spectacular coast and along fields of crops. The only two surprises were that there are a series of apartments attached to this house (one large stone building that may have been an old farmhouse or barn?), with the front yards of these units separated by fences which are visible from the main outside dining table. And there is only one master bedroom with a large window and ensuite bath. The other two bedrooms are spartan, with little ventilation other than a skylight-type window that opens only several inches. And the bath in the master bedroom is connected to the 2nd bathroom/laundry room by a small window in the wall, covered with a towel for a bit of privacy. My advice in renting this home would be to expect open, loft-style living in an eclectic house, set in a spectacular environment. We loved it.

quand dans la cuisine j’ai ouvert les tiroirs, les placards, le micro onde, tout était extrêmement sale !!! J’ai de suite envoyer les photos à la propriétaire...qui m’a répondu par texto qu’elle en tiendrait compte pour une prochaine fois ! Un nettoyage ? Non, pas de proposition ni de réduction sur le séjour et tout ça en plein Covid !!! Très décevant pourtant location chère ☹️

Mes enfants et petits enfants avons passé une très belle semaine. Il a fait beau, la maison était spacieuse et très fonctionnelle, le paysage grandiose (vue sur mer en direct à chaque instant). La bibliothèque, trop grande pour seulement une semaine, mais chacun y a puisé quelque chose. La mer a été un ravissement pour les enfants, qui malgré la t° ont joué dans les vagues. Nous avons passé un séjour magnifique dans cette propriété. Nous étions 9 plus notre chien et tout ce petit monde était logé sans avoir à se marcher sur les pieds. La situation est idéale; la plage à proximité, chemin de randonnée suivant le front de mer, Saint Malo, Dinard, Dinant Cancale à 15 minutes en voiture. Le Mont Saint Michel à moins d'une heure. Donc "stratégiquement" c'est l'ideal pour découvrir cette région. Et pour "sublimer" le tout une semaine de soleil.

Wir waren drei Wochen in diesem schönen Appartement und haben es sehr genossen. Die Lage ist super, man hat einen wunderschönen Meerblick und ist in ein paar Minuten an einem tollen Strand, direkt am Küstenwanderweg gelegen, wirklich fantastisch! Die Austattung des Hauses ist gut, sehr schön gemacht, lediglich die Betten lassen zu wünschen übrig. Bei der Ankunft waren wir überrascht, dass es sich hier um eines von sechs Apartments handelt, wir gingen von einem freistehenden Haus aus. Da es aber nach vorne zum Meer einem riesigen Garten gibt und man man dort ungestört und privat ist, ist das nicht weiter störend gewesen. Eine perfekte Zeit, auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

Nous avons passe une semaine fort agreable dans la maison du Terquetay - 5 adultes, 3 enfants et un bebe (et un chien). La maison est spacieuse, meublee avec gout (et non pas comme une location de vacances impersonnelle), pleine de livres et tres bien equipee - y compris equipement pour bebe. On a une magnifique vue sur la mer du 1e etage. La mer est vraiment toute proche, a 5 min a pied pour une superbe plage, et au depart de sentiers de randonnees cotieres. Le jardin est tres beau et permet aux enfants de se depenser; il y a 3 hamacs extra dans lequels il fait bon lire ou faire une petite sieste. Bref, cette maison est un endroit que nous recommandons chaudement pour etre au calme et confortablement installes. C'est aussi a 20 min en voiture de St Malo. La communication avec la proprietaire a ete tres fluide.
