Good location.

Location perfect, 15 to 20 minutes walk from Como San Giovanni train station, right next to a boat drop off and funicular. Lots of cafes nearby, serve breakfast too. Carre four mini mart less than 500 yards away right next to the bus station. Apartment was really spacious, so quiet, clean, tidy and cool too, 20 paces from the lake, I really can't fault it.

The only problem we had was it was practically impossible to get tickets in Como for the lake boats, sold out even if queued at 7.00 am, can't buy the day before. We used the fantastic bus and train service to get about and got boat tickets at our destination for boats back. Buy your return boat ticket as soon as you arrive at destination. We went to Bellagio and Lecco both on bus, €4 one way. Train to Monza €4 one way and train to Lugano in Switzerland €12 one way, all amazing places, take passport if going to Lugano just in case, we weren't even checked. Self driven speedboat in Lugano €60 for the boat for an hour it was fabulous. The trains are frequent and local trains very cheap, check you are getting the cheap trains not the high speed, much more expensive. Milan €5 one way on train. We walked to Cernobbia from Como about 60 to 90 minutes walk all flat and got the boat back, beautiful walk and lovely little town. Head for football stadium and keep walking. Check Google for markets in Como, they are big and very good.

Right next to the lake. Easy access. Many restaurants and the Como funicular.

No AC. The street next to the apt is very crowded, even until 1am due to the funicular and the restaurants nearby. Generally, by closed windows no issue with the crowd, but need to keep it open all night long due to the lack of AC.

Location was good but lots of street noise.

Few wall outlets and some needed repair. No A/C as indicated. Second fan needed.
