The paths leading to the Duomo, to the oldest Sicilian Doric temple, or to the Temple of Apollo, are also very short, leading to the traditional fish market and Piazza Archimede, considered the geographical center of the island and boasting both noble palaces built already in the 16th century, both the superb Diana fountain created by the sculptor Moschetti once again in reference to the myth of the nymph Aretusa.
It is also possible to visit, in the area, the numerous churches of Arab-Norman style and with Baroque traces, museums such as the National one of Palazzo Bellomo, that of the papyrus, that of the Sicilian puppets and the Arkimedeion, the Arab district "Graziella" and the former Jewish quarter "Giudecca" which attracts scholars from all over the world.
In the streets and alleys around the Dammuso you will find a large number of restaurants, small local craft shops and typical food and wine, all to be discovered ... and of course, you will admire the magnificent sea in which you can immerse yourself and take a swim, reaching walk to the solariums of the Levante promenade (public) or the Ponente promenade in about 5-10 minutes.
