About this apartment rental
A lovely apartment, furnished with modern style, in the main street of Ortigia. It equipped with all the comforts of home to make your holiday unique. L 'apartment consists of 2 double bedrooms, bathroom, two bathrooms, kitchen and living room. You will also have the opportunity to access to the terrace with breathtaking views to admire the city of Syracuse from a unique perspective and original. The apartment can accommodate everyone, especially families with children, on request you can have everything you need to make the holiday enjoyable even for the little ones (stroller, carrycot, baby carrier, elastic and rigid baby carrier, bottle warmer, cradle from camping, portable changing table, footrest etc ...).
Located in the main street of the historic center of Ortigia, near the public and paid parking area, very close to the fish and fruit market, where you can buy freshly caught fish, and then cook it in the comfortable kitchen of the apartment.
About 200 meters from the solariums.
Just under the house there are 2 supermarkets, bars and shops of various kinds.

We enjoyed our stay very much! Our host was gracious and respectful to all of our questions. Daniela went above and beyond the call of duty in helping us with an unusual situation - taking time away from her day to assist us. The apartment was large and spacious. Each bedroom had a balcony. Safe and close to restaurants and shopping. Very walkable. Has an elevator to the floor of the apartment. Location was perfect. Just over the bridge and close to the 3 parking areas. We managed to find spaces in the free parking lot each time we came and went from Ortigia.

We (father and adult daughter) spent three nights at Il Mito, and I can't imagine a better place to stay in Ortygia, unless your taste runs to older style. This is a modernized, very nicely appointed apartment on a commercial street (300m or so of mostly fashion stores). Everything in Ortygia is within walking distance , so if you want to look at older, more charming exteriors you just have to wander east, south, or north. Via Cavour along the back side of the building is full of restaurants, but don't limit yourself, as there are fine places to eat all over the island. The exuberant outdoor market is just a few blocks away, and the kitchen is suitable for cooking the results of your market visits if you are so inclined.
Daniela is a warm and gracious host. If you arrive by car early enough in the afternoon, she will direct you to park in front of the building to unload, but parking in the evenings on most of the island is restricted to residents, so plan on using the public lot (Eu15/day).
Highly recommended for families or even for two couples.

On the main street of Ortigia the apartment is ideally situated for exploring the town and Siracusa. It on the second floor of an up market block and has a lift though there are a few steps from the street. The rooms are nicely decorated and have high ceiling and balconies front and rear, apartment was very clean. Few minutes walk to the market for provisions with small supermarkets and restaurants close at hand. Daniellas check in and out was efficient and she called midway through our stay to collect the bins. Great host and would recommend staying here.
