This is an amazing property with an Incredible history. The owners have done a brilliant restoration job. It was quite something to see it let alone stay there. The grounds are spacious and private with a wonderful view. The pool is great - it was quite chilly for us so the kids couldn’t spend long in it at a time. The tennis court was super. You need to take all of your own bedding, and towels. Cleaning is done by last participants and you at the end of your stay. There are helpful property caretakers. It’s a quiet village in the middle of the countryside. We had a splendid trip overall. Thank you.

We stayed with friends for a long weekend and everyone enjoyed the stay. A big warning for international travelers, they don’t include sheets and towels. If our friends did not live in France, this would have been a deal breaker. The Chateau is in great condition and has many amenities. It is an historical building in the countryside, which means it is rustic and there are not a lot of services nearby. The village is small and the residents are friendly, but they are busy with farming and daily activities. So, communicate early with your contact to arrange check in and out

We spend five days with a group of 11 friends in Montenaille. Cycling (very hilly…), hiking, relaxing at the pool and un the garden, nice evenings at the fireplace…. We really enjoyed our stay!

I would like to take this opportunity to firstly thank our hosts so much for the opportunity to stay in their beautiful property in a charming village in France, and also Daniel and his wife for their warm greeting at the property. Firstly, the castle (because it is like a castle) is amazing with an emphasis on spending time together and enjoying company. Every bedroom was large, well equipped with beds and had easy access to bathroom facilities. The front room is adorned with a traditional fireplace and ample seating for a large family. The kitchen has a large dining table, dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge freezer and great views of both the front and back. The garden is huge, we played rounders, frisbee and of course enjoyed the beautiful pool. With both a deep and shallow end it’s perfect for adults and children and when we were there was more than warm enough for us all to enjoy. There are beautiful fruit trees which we were invited to enjoy which even threw up the added surprise of encounters with woodpeckers and bats. The views down the hill are amazing and the tennis court is just down the road, although we only found time to use it once, and is in perfect condition. There is a wonderful walk down to the source of the local river which made it feel like we were somewhere totally different trekking through lush forest. To compare the source to the depth and breadth of the river just down the road was amazing. All in all a fantastic holiday which we will treasure forever - we didn’t want to leave and would definitely like to return. Many thanks again!!!! Merci beaucoup!!

"Beautiful area and very well maintained chateau. Very nice and accomodating owner and neighbors. The terrace, pool, tennis courts, ping-pong table and huge well-kept yard were a real treat! The kitchen is pretty well stocked with the exception of cooking pots and pans. The living room area is very nicely furnished and there are certainly enough beds. The bathrooms could do with a renovation - sorry that when taking a shower water goes everywhere in the 1st floor bath but really don't know how to avoid it."

A trip worth - especially for families

The description of the house keeps what it promises. We (2 families with 6 children) had a wonderful week in Burgundy. Communication with the owners and on-site caretakers was easy and good. The house offers everything for " young and old ": charm, space and plenty of peace and quiet. The pool was perfect, the tennis court is fantastically located and you can make many nice trips from there. If there is anything at all to note (but is communicated in advance), then it would be two things: bed sheets should be brought and the final cleaning must be done yourself. We personally would prefer to pay extra for this, but of course that is a matter of view. Overall, very recommendable.

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end dans cette belle demeure. Une maison très spacieuse avec des très grands espaces intérieurs et extérieurs. A l intérieur, la literie est de bonne qualité, il y a couettes, oreillers et même couvertures en rab si besoin. Un bon nombre de salles de bain. La salle de jeu avec table de ping pong a ravi tout le monde. La cuisine est très bien équipée avec 2 frigos, tout le nécessaire de cuisine, et une grande table dans la cuisine (qu on ne voit pas sur les photos mais elle est vraiment très grande). Une belle cheminée pour les soirées fraîches ! Les équipements extérieurs sont très bien : immense table extérieure pour 15 personnes avec les chaises (en état impeccable), des transats et siege piscine en tres grand nombre, des parasols, une superbe cabane en bois avec toboggan, neuve de cette année, extra pour des enfants même grands !!!! Un terrain plat parfait pour jouer dehors. Une parenthèse vraiment appréciée. Nous gardons précieusement l adresse. Les voisins qui gèrent les entrées et sorties adorables et flexibles.

Nous sommes partis à 12 adultes dans cette très belle propriété. La demeure est spacieuse tant concernant les chambres que les espaces communs. Le jardin est grand et le terrain de tennis appréciable. Malheureusement nous n’avons pas pu profiter de la piscine à cause du mauvais temps, mais cela nous a donné envie de revenir lors des beaux jours. La cuisine est très bien équipée, cela ne se voit pas sur les photos mais il y a une grande table. L’accueil par madame Belot s’est très bien passé également, et la communication avec madame Dierckx avant le séjour a été fluide. Je recommande !

Nous avions planifié ce séjour pour nous retrouver entre amis et avec les enfants. L'endroit est parfait pour balader autour avec nos petits et profitez du jardin et de la piscine. Le style de la maison nous a bien amusé et nous avons pu passer du temps en intérieur sur les moments pluvieux . Le séjour a été très agréable. La propriété est grande et les espaces et équipements parfaitement adaptés à un groupe de 14 personnes. Nous n'avons pas beaucoup profité des extérieurs à cause de la pluie, mais les environs ont été très appréciés par le groupe. La propriété était propre. Les environs sont calme et agréable. A notre bonne surprise, le pourtour de la piscine a été refait entièrement contrairement à ce que l'on peut voir sur les photos. De nouveaux divans sont également présents dans la pièce de vie. La piscine etait bien propre ainsi que le tennis en très bon état. Les propriétaires ont été très à l'écoute par rapport au covid-19 et étaient prêt à prendre des mesures exceptionnelles en terme de remboursement si les frontières ne rouvraient pas. Je recommande fortement cette propriété!

La maison est géniale. Grande, bien équipée, confortable. Piscine privée très agréable. Nous avons fait des parties de ping-pong endiablées à 8 en tournant autour de la table. L'accès au tennis est très simple et c est agréable de jouer sous le regard moqueur des vaches. La personne qui nous a accueillis est charmante et les échanges avec les propriétaires ont été agréables et efficaces entre le moment de la réservation et l arrivée. Il est certain qu’il faut avoir une voiture car les commerces sont assez loin, mais nous nous sommes organisés et ça ne nous a pas dérangé. Nous avons visité les grottes de Bèze, Langres, Dole, Talant, Salives. Nous avons adoré le séjour et la maison. Même le ménage à faire en fin de séjour a été plus facile qu’escompté. Vraiment super.

Le château a certes bien vécu, mais c'est aussi ce qui fait son caractère... Bien équipé, avec un excellent accueil, de grands espaces en extérieur et une magnifique piscine, difficile de trouver mieux pour se reposer en été. Les environs sont moins touristiques que le sud de la Côte d'or mais regorge de beaux endroits (mais comptez des trajets entre 20 min et 50 mon à chaque fois).
