The Ellen Cottage (named in honor of a former owner and lifetime friend of the land) is nestled between the woods and the Lake, this charming beach cottage sits directly on the Lake Erie shoreline with a private beach, lake views, kayaks, outdoor seating, and a large fire pit.
Inside, the cottage combines historic lake-house character with the modern comforts you want for a relaxing getaway, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and a well-equipped kitchen.

The Ellen Cottage comfortably sleeps up to six guests and combines the charm of a classic early-1900s Lake Erie beach cottage with the comforts of a modern vacation home. With two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and smart TVs, it's an easy place to settle in and make yourself at home.
Original character and a relaxed, cozy atmosphere make the cottage feel like a true lake house rather than a typical vacation rental, while the thoughtful amenities provide everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Outside
Most of your time will probably be spent outside.
Enjoy the over quarter mile of beach, lakefront views, kayaks, outdoor seating and fire pit. Grab a cup of coffee by the water in the morning, spend the afternoon on the lake, and gather around the fire as the sun goes down.
Spanning over a quarter-mile of private shoreline, this is a living, breathing coast rather than a sandbox. The location is amazing! It has a panoramic view of the lake and the sound of the waves crashing is so relaxing. The beach area is nice and somewhat isolated. It’s an older home but has everything you need for nice stay. My only concern is the bathtub: I would caution anyone with stability issues against using it. The beds were rather comfortable, which in a rental is always a nice surprise. The TV options were great, my adult boys were happy with the variety of channels. If you’re looking to escape the world and enjoy nature, I highly recommend.

From 4 ladies in their 60's...Quaint, rustic country cottage with a screened front porch - a beautiful and peaceful view of Lake Erie punctuated by bald eagles flying overhead. Beach access is a 3 minute walk away and down a flight of stairs. Clawfoot tub with freestanding shower would benefit from safety bars/rails. A single lane gravel road eventually becomes a mud track - so it is best to arrive before dark.
