Cozy & Stylish Walkout Basement Apartment

Places was excellent for my whole family. It’s quite and clean. Has all the needs very close by. Host was very welcoming and quick to respond on queries. I would stay again in future if available.

Stayed for a week as my daughter played in the Sparkler softball tournament. Worked great for us-- close to fields good location for groceries and restaurants. When renting this I knew the owner and family lived upstairs from other reviews. We were hardly there as gone most all the days playing ball-- but will say you can hear them upstairs as they have children that you can hear as well. This didn't bother us so much.. but I can see that it could likely bother other people as they are the ages where they run everywhere and there is crying. You can hear their voices and in some rooms hear their mumbled conversations. Kids Usually were in bed by 11pm and they did not seem to be early risers. Here are some other things to be aware of: No washcloths -- had hand towels and bath towels (three each) Two forks only in the whole kitchen The beds (both of them) squeak-- really bad-- I think it may be the frames-- literally turning over at night would wake me up from the unusual sounds the frame and mattress would make. Just me and my daughter and a teammate stayed.. literally if a couple stayed -- everyone would know your business.. Shower pressure low The backyard for a lack of better description-- is a mess-- they have a nice deck but joined to the back of their kitchen area --no furniture on it so you wouldn't really use it anyway. There was old couches and old furniture strung out all over the backyard. Was overgrown and slightly looked like the pictures but by no means would you be able to sit back there or enjoy the backyard. We had no use for the backyard but wanted to comment about this as many of their pictures had backyard photos. You have no thermostat control -- the temperature was fine for us but I assume they control the settings. We drove 13 hours to get there and they called 2 hours before check in and wanted to delay the time some-- we went to the store first but was tired from driving so was a little put off that they delayed check in. The owner was very responsive with any concerns or issues we had-- had heavy rains one eve and the drain outside of door was covered with a mat and water came in under the door-- she responded quickly. Parking was great on the street or had a spot in the driveway but we didn't use as driveway on incline. Washer and dryer a must for us and was used daily Had staples which was nice-- extra toilet paper - Tracy bags- paper towels some spices sugar coffee etc It is updated and clean

This property served as the perfect base to enable us to do some house hunting in the denver area. It had everything we needed and at a good price. The homeowner was very friendly and accomodating.

Pros: This apartment is in a great location-20 mins from airport, located closely to grocery stores, restaurants and very close to interstates that you can travel easily to all of the main attractions to do multiple snow related activities . The owner Ake is fantastic and was very accommodating to us- we arrived early and he kept in contact with us while the apartment was being cleaned, as to when we could check in earlier than the 3 pm check in and we appreciated that since we had left our hometown at 2am to catch our early flight. Cons: I would suggest them making the area between the apartment ceiling and the floor upstairs more soundproof. They have small children and it seems like they ran back and forth all day from the time they woke up until they went to bed. So on days we wanted to sleep in, it was impossible. I would also suggest updating the pictures of the patio area featured on the Air B and B website .. we were excited about possible sitting out on days when it was possible to have coffee, but the patio didn’t look like the pictures .. I realize things have to be winterized but we were a little disappointed.
