About this house rental
Close to the city center and the edges of Aude, 10 mins walk from the medieval town in a quiet area, superb stone house completely restored with its patio decorated with a heated swimming pool. It will be the starting point for your visits to the City of Carcassonne, the Cathar castles, the Canal du Midi and swimming (Lac de la Cavayère) or sea within 60 km. The house combines old and great comfort for 8 people, its very neat decoration will seduce you. A large living room, 4 bedrooms, 1 with adjoining bathroom, a very large bathroom with a large walk-in shower and two sinks. An equipped kitchen and an office. Large garage where you can park your cars without worries. Around the swimming pool a barbecue which will allow you to have a good time. The surface and the functionality of this house and its location close to all shops, will allow everyone to rest and share good moments of conviviality. The rental of sheets, beach towels and hand towels are optional.

Our family group of three generations had a wonderful holiday in this delightful house, celebrating 40th and 70th birthdays. It had everything we needed, from infant beds to laundry room to well-equipped kitchen! The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the feeling of space in the house. My son-in-law was even able to use the study for a half-day's work.The chilled water/ice facility in the fridge-freezer was much appreciated during France's second heatwave of the year! (38 degrees C) We loved the outdoor space for relaxing and for dining and, of course, the pool was enjoyed by all. The young folk enjoyed a few games of table tennis in the garage, too.We had the feeling of living in a beautiful characterful farmhouse, but with all the advantages of being in town! Thank you to Martine and Jean-Denis for their warm welcome and attention to detail. They were available to help with any question we had.(tried to add a couple of photos, but the Vrbo app wouldn't let me)

Perfectly positioned,lovely property, easy walking to both the old city and the modern one. Access to supermarkets(by car) and small shops by foot. Martine obviously lives her home, as a host she was perfect, available if needed but not intrusive. The pool is a big plus if you have teenagers.

Excellent communal areas and pool. Garage was a boon for secure off street guaranteed parking.20 minute walk to the Cite and bastide area.

Lovely welcome from Martine. House is fantastic and we loved the outside space. Also it’s only around a 10 minute walk to the Place Carnot, shops, restaurants etc. a couple of hand towels would have been useful as well as something insulated to put shopping in but these are small niggles. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
