HOTEL NEW TAKADA

A very good hotel with perfect location, 5 mins walk to takadanobaba station, and have numerous restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The hotel don’t have that kind of good facilities and the room is Tokyo style small size. But the room have anything you need and the price is reasonable low. The staff is friendly

This was my 2nd time staying in Hotel New Takada and I couldn't ask for a better hotel. They have staff at the front desk 24/7 so even if you arrive late you can still check in easily, just message them your arrival time and it would be okay. The staff are very helpful and kind. They don't have laundry service but they will gladly help you locate the nearest one. Thank you to the staff for another wonderful stay 👍👍👍

Hotel New Takada is tucked in a little alley off the main road, just turn right at Ikinari Steak (good value for money Steak!) if you're coming from the train. The room is a bit tight for 2pcs of medium luggage. One major drawback to the room was the lack of natural lighting (the windows are covered by steel slats so you can't see outside). It made it really hard to wake up early, but if you're the type to sleep in a blackout room, then this is for you. The bathroom is clean and it's nice to soak in the tub after a day of being on your feet. They provide 2 bottles of water and 2 sachets of green tea daily (plus amenities, but we only had our room cleaned once during our stay). There's an automatic coffee machine in the lobby that gives you a choice of espresso, americano or latte, and the coffee was actually good! Not the overly roasted beans (eg, Doutor... though there's one right across the main street if that's your thing). You have to leave your keys at the lobby counter before heading out, even if only one of you goes out, which I've never encounted before but ok. The staff was pleasant. The neighborhood is buzzing with students, and there are a lot of food options (of course... it's Tokyo!). The Seiyu supermarket up the street is great for late night (discounted) cravings! The JR Yamanote line and Tozai subway line offer great connectivity to anywhere in the city. Would stay here again if we want to explore more of this side of Tokyo!

This hotel is near Takadanobaba Station. The price was competitive for the convenient location. There are so many rules (room keys and how to use the room)...it might be hard if you don't read Japanese. The front office people are nice. They would help, thiugh. The best hotel to be close to the station (Takadanobaba) & the shops, restaurants & bars.
