About this house rental
On the 1st floor of the house, there is a suite with two beds and one room even banho.No floor, there are two bedrooms with two beds and one with a double bed sharing the same bathroom. There is also another bedroom with private bath in inferior.Os floor rooms have access to a balcony with a spectacular view of the property and to nearby Viana do Castelo.A home features a living room with fireplace, TV and library, as well as a dining room and kitchen fully equipped. The house has free wireless internet, access to any of the divisions, incluinda the pool and is situated in front of the house, surrounded by a large lawn. Ping Pong Table and Field Volley complete the offer of the house in terms of leisure.

My wife, our two young boys and I, had the most fabulous stay at Casa Sao Joao.
We rented the left wing apartment of the house, overlooking the pool. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, with ice cold a/c for the hot days, of which there were many!
The manor house is set in the most sumptuous grounds, with lovely shady vine tunnels surrounding the pool, leading to deeper depths of the garden and many flowers in bloom.
The pool was a delight. Perfect to spend the day by or taking an evening dip after a hot day exploring attractions.
Joao and Mafalda, the hosts, deserve a special mention as their hospitality was really touching. We were truly welcomed, like a part of their family. So much so we enjoyed the best Shrimp salad, prepared by Mafalda and were serenaded by Joao, playing traditional folk music on his accordion. What a treat! We soon came to appreciate Joao's recommendations of places to visit and eat, were extremely valuable too!
We can't wait to return!

I choose this house because it was not a modern purpose built tourist apartment and because it had a swimming pool and bidet. João and Mafelda were so helpful and welcoming.
The house is old being built around1734 it did not have the same amenities as expected in more usual properties but the price reflected this. I did not appreciate how much was to share with the owners when they were in residence. It is described as an apartment which is how it functions when the owners are not in residence but cooking facilities and sitting / dining areas are shared. The pool was a godsend as we were there during a heatwave and as the owners were only present on the weekends we had exclusive use during the week, likewise the rest of the property. João and Mafelda the owners were very keen to make us feel welcome and we enjoyed our stay very much . There is very good food shopping and restaurants in the village.
