PARKING: The road on which the house is located is with free parking, there is also a large parking with paid ticket located 200 meters away. Well-kept apartment on two levels, with the living room, kitchen, large bedroom with sea view and bathroom with shower on the ground floor, large sleeping area for 4 on the first floor and bathroom with tub / shower. Air conditioning on both floors. Equipped with hot air heating, it can therefore also be used in winter and spring. Outside, a pretty courtyard with a large umbrella and table for summer dinners and deckchairs for relaxation. The location is optimal very close to the famous Quercetano Bay which can be reached in 5 minutes on foot, but at the same time located in the center of Castiglioncello. It can also be a convenient starting point for excursions to the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, for visits to the art cities of Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Siena and Volterra, and also for a tour of the medieval villages of San Gimignano and Certaldo . It is also located on the Etruscan Coast with its beautiful towns of Bolgheri, Baratti and Populonia.
Castiglioncello has a large pine forest for cool walks and a beautiful promenade with nice restaurants right on the water. In the center of the town dominates the Pasquini Castle immersed in the pine forest, home to numerous exhibitions and events, always accessible for a walk or to have a drink at the adjacent lemon house where you can listen to music and attend concerts, very rich is the season of events and shows held in the covered theater next to the Castle. The town has always been a destination for artists, writers, politicians and show business personalities: from Mastroianni to Alberto Sordi, from Renato Zero to Carlo Conti. His landscapes are also the protagonists of many paintings by the Macchiaioli painters such as Corcos and Fattori.

Very nice holiday apartment. near sea and shops yet quiet. Parking nearly always possible in the street outside. The upstairs room was very spacious and perfect for children, although it was also noisy in high winds, heavy rain, thunder or hail and unfortunately we got all four! Castiglioncello is a nice town, especially the parks, pine trees and promenade, and the 'Caffe Ginori' with its gluten free cakes. All in all it is much better than the impression given by the 'Rough Guide'! With a car, Pisa and Lucca are an hour away or less, and we enjoyed visiting both. Closer at hand we also enjoyed the 'Gallorose' animal park at Cecina, plus strolling round Rosignano Marittimo and Montenero.
