About this house rental

Le Chai is a delightful 19th century converted stone winery set on the edge of the Chateau park which is now the local Marie. Our garden was once part of the vineyards and our house is the building where they used to store the large wine barrels. The vernacular architecture is spectacular and when you step through the front door you are overwhelmed by the beauty of the vast beams.
Luxury, spacious living room, large modern stone/wood/stainless steel kitchen, utility room, hallway. Master ensuite kingsize bedroom and sunken circular bath, double bedroom, twin bedroom, shower room with WC, separate WC, a large mezzanine bedroom and small mezzanine bedroom with stone spiral staircase. Outside shower room with WC.
The fenced swimming pool adjoins the pool house and fully equipped summer kitchen, in an enclosed lawned garden with outside shower room with WC.
The heating costs are not included in the rental price

I stayed at Le Chai in October 2009 and chose as it the location for my wedding reception. We stayed for a week in the house with 9 adults and 2 young children. The house is big and equipped enough to cope with that many people even the outdoor kitchen, which in fact we used as the base for the wedding lunch. We set up a huge table under the big tree, the weather and setting was perfect. The hosts had made a lot of effort before hand to prepare the house for our wedding and were on hand to answer any questions or help out. We greatly enjoyed the pool too and even thought it is not heated we were swimming in it in the first week of October. We have fond memories of our week there and would recommend the house to anyone who is looking for a typically French holiday and even somewhere to have a small wedding or party.

Stayed 2 weeks here with family & friends. Lovely old stone building, with plenty of character and interesting features - huge fireplaces and large living/dining/kitchen area - lots of space for all. Mezzanine sleeping area is slightly more 'exposed' not visually, but audibly. Amazing master bedroom with bath in room and pool area is perfect for lounging around. Enjoyed morning strolls to bakery for fresh croissant and baguettes. Lots of options for wine tasting/weekly markets a short drive away. Owners provided lots of local knowledge and pool toys to keep children amused - perfect.

Stunning. Superb attention to detail and beautifully decorated throughout. The house itself is very large and well appointed, with a good sized pool and spacious secluded garden for the children to occupy themselves. Our holiday consisted of three families with teenage children, 11 guests in total and all comfortably accommodated within this spacious converted winery. Simon and Denzil were perfect hosts and happily shared their knowledge of local shops, markets and places to visit with us. Highly recommended and we would certainly re-book for future holidays in the South of France. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Charmantes , altes Haus .
