Sunset View Apartment

Very convenient location on the waterfront and across from parking. The views were beautiful. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the washer/dryer and the kitchenette. There was plenty of hot water and good WIFI.

The bathroom was tiny. No room to put anything.

Beautiful view with big terrace with two sliding doors and the balcony had glass to easily look through. Really enjoyed staying on the balcony. The pictures are exactly representative of the room. Big plus of having free and paid parking right in front of the apartment. We were always lucky and found space on the free right side parkong but it is a gamble and count with paid parking instead to be sure.

There is a small outside bar under the apartment called Tipsy Flamingo and their music can get quite repetetative after awhile (they do turn the volume down at 11pm) however it is open until 3am and did wake up to loud chatter but thats the trade off of having a prime spot apartment so i would not deduct any points for this.

1. Manousos was really great and kind. He responded promptly to our requests, the check in information was very clear and gave a great introduction to the area when we arrived. 2. The view - it is beautiful and there's a nice balcony perfect to just have a drink and watch the sunset. 3. Cleanliness - the flat was sparkling clean. The towels and the sheets smelt really nice and fresh. 4. Washing machine - we didn't use it but a great addition if you're travelling for longer and want to do some laundry.

1. Don't book this if you have a car - it's not 10€ per day (i.e. 24 hours). We parked the car around 4pm on the day we checked in and left the next day around 11am but ended up paying nearly 15€. 2. The bathroom is really tiny - you have to step in the shower cabin to close the door. Don't expect any shelves to put your toiletries on - I had to use the top of the toilet for my make up. 3. It is noisy so bring your ear plugs if you're a light sleeper - there is double glazing but it's on a main road so you still hear the traffic and drunk people shouting; we were unlucky enough to stay there over a weekend and the saturday night was manic. All in all, it's waaay overpriced for what it offers - maybe I'm too harsh but we stayed here after 5 other apartments/4* hotels in various places in Crete and all were cheaper than this apartment with a lot more to offer (including views) so had fairly high expectations. Tiny details were missing like a bottle of water in the fridge when we arrived, there wasn't even soap in the bathroom!
