We had a wonderful stay in the heart of Pontocho, a street filled with narrow alleys giving old Kyoto vibes. There are a lot of delicious restaurants right at the door and quick access to walking or eating by the Kamagawa river. The house is beautiful and comfortable and provides an authentic japanese housing experience. The japanese bathtub was wonderful to recover and relax after long days of exploring. This stay is one of the highlights of our trip. 10/10 I’d love to come back.

Fantastic location! Pontocho lane is a perfect location to access lots of parts of Kyoto. Easy to walk around for coffees and dinner, but also close to trains and buses. A perfect accomodations really clean, well set up. The bed was comfy and really big. Perfect for a couple (or a couple and a kid). The bath was fantastic too, this was a really nice feature of the property.
The host was organised and really easy to communicate with. Check in and out was seamless.
