About this house rental

La Cerisaie is a large, cheerful and warm village house built in 1620 and fully renovated by an architect in 2012. In a quiet garden fenced with walls and perfectly secured for children with fruit trees and large hundred-year-old boxwood under which it is pleasant to take your meals or nap. The house with very thick walls stays cool when it is very hot outside. It is an ideal place for young children (games and inflatable pool) as well as for teenagers (table tennis, 5 bikes at your disposal and free tennis courts 200 m). The decoration is refined. It has a lot of charm. This property is composed of a main house with 4 bedrooms, bathroom and shower room and a guesthouse in the outbuildings (20 m from the main house). 2 very nice cats used to children live in the workshops and the garden. You do not have to worry about them. Linen for bed , towels for bathroom and tableclothes are included, aw well wood for the fireplace.

We had a wonderful time with our kids. The house is truly charming and well equipped. It had everything you need for a perfect holiday. The garden is really big and child friendly. The cat Patou is the sweetest ever. I would highly recommend it!

We had a very nice family get together in this spacious and beautiful house and garden. The house had a lived in feel and was generously provided which meant we had everything that we needed to enjoy our time together and the small children especially loved the enclosed garden with swings, a Wendy house and children’s toys and seats The proprietor very kindly picked us up from the station and gave us a warm welcome. We would certainly recommend it to other families.

La Cerisaie is just a wonderfully restored 17th century home that has those French touch from Virginie and Hugues that a plebeian like me can actually appreciate, but it has all those modern conveniences that spoiled Americans can appreciate. It is a marvelous home in a marvelous area of Bourgogne. A wonderful restaurant as well as a patisserie / boulangerie is within walking distance and the neighboring towns of Joigny, Migennes and Auxerre are wonderful to explore and have all possible services and excellent restaurants. The Saturday's farmers market in Joigny is not to be missed. You will have a wonderful time. Simply, our stay was 4 star thanks to Virginie and Hugues......as well as Patou - the wonderful chat.
