We had high hopes for our stay at Villa Marvi and our hopes were exceeded. What a fantastic place to unwind and relax. Our hosts were so kind and generous. They came to meet us to help find the villa and had prepared an evening meal for us along with fruit from the garden (you can pick your own fruit and veg daily), wine and Raki. We have rented numerous villas over the years and Villa Marvis is in our top three. The nearby town of Panormos is only a five minute drive away and is just gorgeous. The people are friendly, the taverna's and restaurants are superb (don't miss our favourite which was called Makis). Nearby town of Perama offers supermarkets and butcher shop. I have already recommended this lovely villa to friends and family. Don't hesitate to book Villa Marvi as it is a gem.

the villa is perfect and the owners are kind and attentive- they cooked us a meal for our arrival and nothing was too much trouble. the photos don't really do it justice- there are extensive grounds with olive groves, fruit trees and an allotment, all of which you are encouraged to use. the taverna, which is a 3 minute walk away, is brilliant- we went 3 times. there are many great days out a short drive away. we had a brilliant time here and would highly recommend it

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Crete and would highly recommend both the local area and without question Villa Marvi. Next time we still for much longer as there is so much to explore and to enjoy the peace and quiet of the villa and village. Thank you Stelios and his family for your perfect holiday home. Sitting on the balcony having coffee one last time enjoying the stunning panoramic views, We can’t believe our luck in finding this beautiful villa it is so peaceful with no traffic noise, only the sound of the geese & rooster next door which is lovely as we are in the countryside. it’s only 5 mins by car to the seaside resort of Panormo where you can eat very reasonably at the tavernas. The hospitality we have been shown by Stelios & his family has been so warm & inviting we feel like family rather than guests. We had a meal on arrival prepared for us & they have brought us fruit & vegetables from their garden & grandmother baked us stuffed peppers which were delicious! We come from North Wales so we like the mountains but you do not feel isolated here as you have the best of both worlds! Given the choice of a hotel or here we would chose Villa Marvi every time. It has exceeded all our expectations & we will return in the Spring or September. If you want peace, tranquility comfy beds & pillows & great air con you’ve come to the right place. We intended to do more sight seeing but we have found it difficult to lure ourselves away, we had a day in Rethymno & had lunch on the Venetian harbour & did some shopping but we were glad we had not booked a hotel there, it was nice to come back to our “home from home” We would like to thank Stelios & family for being perfect hosts & we wish them every success in the future, we return home tonight, back to reality feeling on top of the world after all the fresh air & healthy Greek food that we have consumed. The villa is spotless by the way.I had read all the previous amazing reviews about Villa Marvi as I like to do my research and I endorse everything that others have said. The Greek people in general are so humble & hardworking & do not “rip you Off” even though they have a short season, after October there will be hardly any tourists. The Greek people have had a rough time with their economy & rely on tourist trade & they more than deserve it. Taverna Geronymos in Panormo we found to be the best restaurant & you can also have a good meal if you walk just below Villa Marvi to the taverna Roumeli so that you don’t have to take the car.
