Beautiful place and a very nice stay!!

The location is great and the apartment beautiful!

The owner came unannounced to pick up one key from us. We thought he could have let us know on booking chat beforehand as we didn’t know him. Also the beds were not the most comfy. But both things are minor disadvantages:)

Very good

A beautiful, spacious apartment in a perfect location, with lots of charm. It was important for us to stay somewhere that wasn't too modernised so this was exactly what we were looking for. The two balconies look over one of the main squares in the town which made our stay feel really atmospheric. Lovely host with excellent communication.

Needs a little bit of love - a touch of paint would make a big difference, just to make it feel a bit less like a rental. A new clothes dryer would be appreciated as the current one is on its last legs.

Where it was

I have never left a review before but want to warn you . Please DO NOT BOOK this property. It is so dated and damaged that we did not wish to stay . Cracked walls , Old Furniture , broken shower head , dated and musty smell throughout, broken wardrobe door , dumping ground for hoover and other dusty items . AC was so noisy , even when off - made you wonder if safe . Urine stained toilet . In the current Covid 19 we certainly did not feel at ease in this run down , dirty Looking flat . Having called them to say that it was a disgrace the agent told us that we should apply for a refund via booking .com. This is something I have never done before . I Spent hours on the phone / messaging and out of pocket as I had to book elsewhere. I have finally been told that as my partner took a shower ( broken shower head ) I was honest and said that having spent hours travelling from the uk he had a shower ... We could not get a refund . I asked if at least the 2nd night could be reimbursed... you guessed it , it was a no. We are £300 out of pocket , spoilt out holiday . To top it all we were told that there is no issue with the toilet seat , it is stained by old urine and perfectly clean , that gives you an idea about their standards . Pictures copied . I will make sure the tourist office also knows as they sometimes refer customers. The agent hide behind the landlord, I am sorry as an agent you should also have standards and so should booking.com . Booking.com washing their hands off this too . So much for being a genius 2 level

3rd floor without elevator. No parking and public parking expensive (but this is true for most places in Cassis).
