The Omah Borobudur

The Omah is a great location to the VIP entrance of Borobudur. The hotel consists of separate houses with a beautifully kept garden with green plants. The staff is extremely friendly and kind and happy to help.

The room could use some bedside reading light. There were only two hanging sources of light and reading in bed was not possible.

A wonderful stay just a short distance from Borobudur. The property has a calm, intimate atmosphere, surrounded by greenery, an ideal base if you’re planning to visit the temple early in the morning. The rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully arranged, with a simple design that fits the setting well. Everything felt relaxed and unpretentious, which added to the charm. The staff were warm, attentive, and always happy to help. A minor points: depending on your expectations, the facilities are fairly simple rather than luxurious, but a lovely and authentic place to stay, especially recommended for those looking for tranquility and easy access to Borobudur rather than a resort-style experience.

Located very near to Borobudur temple park.

Limited and same breakfast choices, hot water shower is scarce (need to wait for 30 minutes for water to re boil- so an issue if you’re staying there with a family), issues with aircon, can find better accommodation with same price. Staff unhelpful when asked about arranging transport and food options locally etc.
