Citylux Apartments

Great central location, 20 minutes walk to the main square. Although near the street by the tram, it is actually facing inner courtyard so it is incredibly quiet, there is no noise at all. Apartment is renovated, the bathroom is quite nice and new; it is a bit small but as I was travelling solo, it was perfect for me. Can fit 2 people. Overall very happy with my stay, would recommend.

I would have loved a full sized mirror, it is an easy fix and there is actually perfect spot in hallway for it. Only one thing did bother me, the bed mattress is quite overused, possibly generally softer mattress, while I prefer firmer. It specially sinks down around the middle, you can tell it got a lot of usage. Everything else is in pretty good shape.

Apartment is a good renovation of an old Tito-era residence block. Apartment door is extremely secure, and the keys were easy to collect from a lockbox with a code shared to us. Shower is double the size of most of the showers we have dealt with in our month-long tour of Croatia, and the sliding door was pretty much waterproof. Kitchen has two-burner electric countertop, refrigerator. Plenty of hot water and plenty of water pressure.

Finding the apartment is a challenge. You enter thru a driveway opening labeled simply "39" in a graffiti-covered strip of empty storefronts along the north side of a busy road. You cross a concrete courtyard to the entrance "39/1". The lobby is not renovated. It was dark, and we climbed to the elevated second floor in semi-darkness.

Cute apartment. The bed was very comfy. The bedroom features an ensuit toilet. There's a small balcony, overlooking the yard. It was nice and quiet.

There are three apartments at the property, including two one-bedroom apartments, and we bumped into guests from the other one-bedroom apartment while checking-in. There was some confusion as to which apartment was which (apt 1 and apt 2), because it's not clearly stated when booking. We figured it out, but it really should be clearly noted if you've booked apt 1 or apt 2 in the confirmation e-mail, especially since there is a warning that there's an extra charge if you enter the wrong apartment.

The hospitality is negatively impressive. Before the check-in time, I received an email about fines if I enter other apartments or check out a little later than 9 a.m. I didn't see the reminder of which apartment I had booked. When I wanted to use their wifi and found in a folder "wifi xxxxxxx" then I asked in whatsapp where is a password of wifi. Men said that it's in a folder. What is a problem to write "wifi passwort"? Why should I think "wifi" is a login or password? Key. The combination lock was on the numbers that were sent to me by email. I conclude that "make a mistake with the apartment and pay a fine". Welcome to CityLux! Cleanliness. The floor was dirty, some kind of white crumbs. There are dried dirty tree leaves in the closet (there are photos). Thank you for being clean in the shower. But the soap was diluted with water and there was no shampoo. Anyway, I came in wearing white socks, and after 3 hours they were gray.
