Memorable old home with modern conveniences.

Such an interesting property that the owners refurbished from a home from hundreds of years ago. Lots of wonderful and thoughtful features for the guests. It was great to have parking there. And best of all was Jean Pierre who was a wonderful host: helping us bring our suitcases inside the steep stairs, leaving a lovely bottle of wine for us, and making suggestions for restaurants to visit.

Historic hill top village stay.

Lovely greeting from Jean-Pierre helping us settle in and explain everything in his beautifully cared for original gem of a property. He was very generous with fresh coffee and a bottle of wine too. Weather was hot & sunny so the heated plunge size pool got used, as did the laundry.

Lots of stairs common in old hilltop villages.

Beautiful and delightful house in gorgeous Gordes

It's a very stylish, comfortable and delightful house in a very quiet part of Gordes. It was very clean. Everything was provided for. Parking was very easy. I loved that I could walk to the market in town on Tuesday morning. Jean-Pierre was very kind and helpful. There was a train strike in France and he helped us to check if our train from Avignon was affected.

Nothing really except that it was a little difficult carrying luggage up the narrow stairs but Jean-Pierre helped us.

this property is a gem - is tastefully decorated and a beautiful home . Every details of the house is immaculately planned and decorated. Owner Jean- Pierre is extremely warmth and helpful . he waited for us to check in late at 2am due to our car broke down . We r really thankful for his great hospitality.

La Calade was beautifully restored and renovated. It has every comfort and is well located from the main town. Jean Pierre is a great host and very accessible to answer any questions you may have.

Great stay in a beautifully restored home in a great location

The home has been beautifully restored with all the modern amenities. It is a spacious, comfortable place to spend a week, or more. Two outdoor terraces to enjoy. Lovely views from the terraces and from all the windows. Well equipped kitchen and bathrooms, with everything we needed. A small, but lovely pool. A great location, just outside the town, surrounded by centuries old homes and views of the hills surrounding the town. Two very scenic options for walking (uphill) along quiet streets into the wonderful town of Gordes. A great location for exploring Provence. Jean-Pierre was a great host - very knowledgeable and responded very quickly to our requests for information or help

It would have been nice to have a larger sitting area on the back terrace (the pool took up most of the space). The front terrace was perfect, just too hot in Provence during our stay to sit there most days.

Everything! what a simply stunning house that was so much fun to stay in. So beautifully decorated, we wanted to buy all the art! Gorgeous views from each window, each room is stylish, comfortable and just lovely to be in. We loved Gordes and enjoyed the walk up the hill to the village. Jean-Pierre was a kind and gracious host who is rightfully proud of this house. We will be back in the summer time as soon as we can!

quietness in Gordes

La Calade was in the past an animal stable. these days are over. now it is a beautiful renovated house with all facilities needed. the location is also perfect: in a quit road at the foot of the village

Charming town house with lovely views for a thoroughly relaxing stay in Provence

La Calade is a beautiful, comfortable town house, stylishly decorated and with a fabulous kitchen which contained everything we needed. We loved being able to sit and eat on the terraces - one of which was right outside the kitchen/diner. The location was also fantastic as it combined easy to access parking spaces right outside the house with just a short (but steep) ten minute walk into the centre of Gordes. Jean-Pierre was a perfect host, giving us great advice for restaurants and places to visit.

Literally carved in the stone, this house is cozy yet spacious at once. Awesome kitchen and pool and deck areas. Great shower, comfortable beds and views of the hillsides. Our family loved this place!

This house is a dream!!! Never have I rented a house and ever detail was so thought out!! Slept so well!! Everything that you could imagine was provided!! The host was such a gentleman. He made sure to carry our bags!!!! Made sure we were comfortable. Available for any questions beyond fantastic quiet peaceful location perfe ct for Adventure in Provence. Didn’t want to leave😞

The jewel of Gordes

Location, facilities and layout of this home are just fantastic and so well thought out. A lot of time and effort has gone into this property, and it definitely shows. The house has 3 lovely large bedrooms, each with an en-suite. The top floor benefits from a freestanding bath with incredible views over the valley and beyond. Jean-Pierre and family have done a great job at combining the old and the new. The pictures just don’t do this place justice, it’s beyond beautiful!

Exceptional

Everything about our stay at La Calade was completely top-notch. Jean-Pierre was an excellent host from his communication, every thoughtful touch in his beautifully renovated village home, to the cleanliness, location and overall enjoyment of being a guest in his vacation rental. The home is wonderfully situated for three couples and provides plenty of space and privacy throughout the home. We enjoyed both lovely terraces, one with more shade and another with sun so you have your choice! I would definitely recommend this rental and book again if we are in the area. Thank you Jean-Pierre!

Das Haus ist der Hammer. In altem Gemäuer ist eine hochwertig ausgestattete Wohnung entstanden. Drei Schlafzimmer, drei Bäder, vier Toiletten. Zwei Terrassen. Extrem ruhige Lage. Ein kleiner Pool. Küche voll ausgestattet. Alles, aber auch wirklich alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Sehr freundlicher Vermieter. Perfekt für einen Urlaub im Freundeskreis. Am leibsten würde man hier den ganzen Sommer berbringen. Aufgrund steiler Treppen nicht unbedingt für kleine Kinder oder gebrechliche Menschen geeignet.
