Emperor Suite - Beyond Timeless

Our host was Toma - he was very friendly, grabbed a bag and got us oriented! He also provided information on nearby parking and some things to do in the city. He was also flexible - we were delayed in our arrival. The place was very nice - great natural light, lots of space, comfy bed, well-supplied with towels & toilet paper, quiet, great A/C. The location is just perfect - not sure you can do better than this!

The place is really great. As other reviews have noted, the stairs are an experience (part of staying the Old Town, so that was fine!). We had a glitch with our reservation which was supposedly caused by Booking.com (we had reserved two apartments but they only had one held for us). Toma and the Josip, the propery manager, moved quickly to get us a temporary solution for a 2nd place. The permanent solution what not what we hoped (nor confirmed, nor paid for) but at least something was done quickly during a busy time of year. We were grateful for the help, though no one has yet owned the cause. These things happen and fortunately, the Emperor Suite was so nice and convenient, it mostly made up for the problem.

The apartment location is excellent; giving easy access to everything in the old town of Split without being affected by the noise of tourism. It is easy to access the apartment area and there's been enough comments about stairs. In any case, Toma carried our suitcase up the stairs so it was not an issue. Everything worked in the apartment and the air conditioning was effective and much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and the cleanliness was excellent. It was lovely having the washing machine facility and a HUGE shower. The old-world charm of this apartment drew our attention in the first place and we were very pleased the see it matched the photos.

Maybe provide some basic supplies like tea and coffee so people can have a drink before they source supplies at the supermarket. That's not a 'didn't like', it's a friendly suggestion and did not affect our stay one bit.
