About this house rental

Recently renovated, North Balkello Cottage is a 4 bedroom house (sleeps 8), in an extremely peaceful location.

Ideal for relaxation, families, couples and those who love the outdoors, walking etc. 2 living rooms, large well appointed kitchen/dining/living area with double oven, hob, dishwasher.

There is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. 1 x Shower/Bathroom + 1 x En-suite Shower/Bathroom + 1 x Shower room. 4 televisions are in the house, 1 with digital freebies television and a Sony PlayStation 3 with a small selection of games. There is also free wifi with speeds of approximately 40 Mbps.

A high chair, stair guard, travel cot and bed guard are available.

Outdoor jacuzzi for 6. 2 decks both with outdoor furniture. Large lawned garden. Parking for several cars.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and comfortable and suited our needs well. Eddie was very helpful and responded quickly when we needed anything. The only reason we gave 4 stars for accuracy of listing was that there was not BBQ grill. Eddie said he would remove that from the listing. If you plan a longer stay, make sure to bring some extra toilet paper and paper towels. The hot tub was a bonus we really enjoyed!

We recently spent 5 nights at the house, there was 8 of us, 5 adults, 3 children and 3 generations! The house worked really well for us. There was plenty of space both inside and out. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. Eddie, the owner, was very good at communicating. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

We had an amazing time staying at this cottage. It was very clean, updated kitchen that had everything you would need. Beds were very comfortable, my daughters are still talking about them! Host was great to communicate with. Hope to visit again someday!

It’s a risky thing to do when you decide to book somewhere for your entire family to spend Christmas so we chose carefully and I can honestly say that we made the right choice with Eddies place… Even though the weather wasn’t great, it mattered not because the house was so amazing…we loved every minute of being there and Eddie couldn’t have been more helpful… You will not be disappointed with this property… Top marks for everything!! Thanks for a great Christmas holiday !

The property was exactly as shown in the photos. Semi-Secluded which we wanted, and the directions to the property were fantastic. Well equipped with very comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was great, and the house provided enough space for everyone to find time to themselves if needed. We would definitely stay here again.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was as shown in the photos. It was well equipped with everything we needed and more. Great condition. Immaculately clean. We enjoyed having the two lounges to spread out in with family. The hot tub was such an added bonus. The communications with the landlord were very easy and efficient. The woodlands park across the street was another bonus for exploring and just hiking. Highly recommend. So comfortable.

Great family get together in this very spacious very clean modern house. We all loved the Hot Tub, the games on the TV, out for walks and watching the red squirrels in the garden. The house is in a peaceful location but only 15 mins from Camperdown Park and Dundee Ice Arena. We had a marvellous stay and have already told friends about this holiday home. I’m sure we will be back.

Large roomy comfortable cottage just north of Dundee, Scotland. Owner was extremely easy to work with. I rented the property to play in the Senior Open Qualifier at Blairgowrie Rosemount Course. Many nearby golf courses to play.

Fantastic property, very clean and really spacious. Would suit groups of friends and families alike. Hot tub was wonderful also. My only suggestion would be that a very large, very easy to read sign would be beneficial at the road end, and also on the property itself, perhaps with the name of the property and “rental property” or something similar on it. This would not only help guests staying there but also taxi drivers and the like.

Lovely cottage in a small quiet area, perfect for relaxing getaway. The cottage is very well laid out, with plenty of space, and a well equipped kitchen. Only slight issue was access to cleaning products, to wipe down surfaces, so we just bought our own the second day there. L Little tricky to navigate too but Eddie's instructions make it clear. Just remember to explain to taxi drivers also.

We had a thoroughly fantastic stay at the house. Eddie is a great host who was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The house is beautiful and in a lovely location. For a family get together it was perfect. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen was large and had everything for our needs. The weather was incredible so we didn't use the televisions etc but the hot tub was superb and a treat after a walk in the nearby hills. The location is still close enough to visit the attractions around Dundee but far enough out to be tranquil and peaceful. We would recommend the property to anyone.

From the minute I booked this property Edwin made everything so easy to follow. The pictures of the house don’t do it justice, the rooms are so spacious and just beautiful. The location is perfect, very private but shops aren’t too far away. My family and I will 100% be back to stay again and we will all be recommending to our friends and other family members. Great place for a family get together. Large spacious bedrooms, kitchen and living areas. We found it to be very well equipped and had everything we needed. Good location, and the younger members of the group enjoyed climbing the local hills, while the rest of us enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Would definitely book again.

Really enjoyed staying at this property for almost 3 weeks, the owner is a very helpful and nice guy, the only issue that I may point is the separation of hot and cold water in some of the bathrooms sinks, couldn't understand how to use them. This is a modern, beautiful, and well-appointed house in a gorgeous area of Scotland. The owner is easy to work with. The house is clean. The beds are comfortable. The location is central to Edinburgh, Sterling, Balmoral, and (with a little extra driving) Inverness and Loch Ness. What more could you ask for? A little nuance that made the stay even easier was the owner's use of YouTube. He put tutorial videos online for all the appliances and systems in the house, and sent us an email with quick links to all of them. If we had a question about the oven or the heating, all we had to do was click the links and watch a well-thought-out, easy-to-understand video. I feel like the owner has this VRBO thing down to a smooth, breezy, science. Well done!

Lovely clean spacious accommodation. Travelled with my family comprising of 6 adults and 2 children. Plenty of room, luxury touches with large TVs, hot tub and beautiful spacious kitchen. Location fairly remote but suited our needs. Would definitely return and recommend.
