This Original Seabright Beach single story cottage was converted in the early 1900's to a two story Craftsman Bungalow. The home is furnished with nautical decor. Upstairs sunroom looks out to the bay and municipal pier beyond. Peaks of the ocean from other upstairs bedrooms. Upstairs bathroom is large with old fashion clawfoot soaking tub. Downstairs has a large living room, large dining room, large kitchen with eating nook, a large bathroom with a shower, also a private bedroom off the front porch, and the west bedroom with its own enclosed sun porch. The home sits on a corner lot surrounded by well kept lawns and gardens with many cozy sitting areas, some with a view of the beach, a welcome after a long day at the beach. Wake up each morning to the gentle reminder that you're as the beach with the sound of waves and sea lions barking in the distance.

The location is great and yard is beautiful. Loved the outside bathroom and shower. Large home for a family vacation. No washer and or dryer on property, carpets and sofas need to be cleaned. Owner and cleaner were great and helpful.

The location was amazing! One block from the beach and walking distance to the Boardwalk and downtown. The bottom floor bedroom with connecting bathroom were perfect for my elderly mom. Windows could use some screens so guests can get fresh air without bugs.

Beautiful historic house! Amazing location! Only complaints:*are no laundry. I know it wasn’t listed, I just assumed. *not clean- floors were so dirty! The kids feet and socks were black after a couple hours. Thick dust under couches and on all the knick knacks*oven set for Celsius(had to figure out how to change), coffee maker auto setting doesn’t work, lights over outside sitting area don’t work.*need to label light switches

This house was absolutely stunning. Fully stocked with everything you could need and super clean. The proximity to the beach was perfect and great food and coffee shop within walking distance. The owner was lovely when we saw him before he left for the weekend and easy to communicate with before our stay. We loved the option of an outdoor toilet and shower and thought the layout of the house was perfect. Our group has already talked about wanting to come back for a longer stay !

As described in the listing it is a well maintained older home. The craftsmanship wow beautiful. We had a very nice stay. The location was perfect; close to the beach, restaurants, coffee, etc. The only suggestions I have include; purchasing a new gas barbecue (the one provided is not gas and very rusted) and get new mattress for the adult rooms - so uncomfortable.

Our adult children and nieces and nephews joined us for 3 nights in this beautiful historic home. The location is perfect, a short walk to Seabright Beach and walking distance to the Boardwalk (via the trestle bridge) and lots of great coffee places and restaurants. We didn't even get in the car until the last day of our stay. Lots of outdoor spaces to talk, read, nap and eat. There are 2 bathrooms but only one has a shower (there's an outdoor shower which is great from coming back from the beach). The owner was very responsive. We loved our stay and thank him for sharing his treasure of a house.

The house is lovely. Every room is beautiful and inviting. It combines antique charm with modern conveniences such as an updated bathroom with shower, plenty of hot water, lots of electrical outlets, good lighting and great climate control. There is a big kitchen and huge dining room table. You can imagine the whole family gathered around for dinner. The outdoor space is likewise inviting and the ocean just a short walk away. The property manager was very responsive. When we had a problem, there was someone here within the hour to fix it. Everyone agreed that it was the perfect place for a family gathering.

This is a fun place. Quite large with 5 bedrooms. We were a little confused by the kinds of beds and where they were. We did see several on VRBO had a name on picture, but the rest turned out that you had to figure it out. Thus, we ended up in a trundle on main floor. We’re in our 70’s. We slept in twins but thought it would be a bigger bed. The porch room was cute, but a awkward to walk into the house or go around the house to use outdoor bathroom at night. No one wanted to walk into the downstairs bathroom at night because we were sleeping right there. You had to walk thru our room to use. We did fine, just need to realize this before you come. Loved the location. Very close to Seabright Beach!

The immediate family and grandchildren were able to stay comfortably at this beach rental. The location is close to everything we love about Santa Cruz. The kitchen is well stocked in case you forget a spice, cups, napkins etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. It is a place we definitly would like to stay in the future.

This gorgeous house suited us, our daughters and their families for some great family time. Aldo’s, the jetty, the Boardwalk, the beach, the Seabright Museum of Natural History, the Crow’s Nest are all in walking distance. The young ones especially enjoyed getting the wiggles out in the yard. I enjoyed how easily it was to seat everyone together at meals at the long table which also served as a game, craft and puzzle area between meals. We are looking forward to returning next year!!!

Spectacular beach access: two blocks with a second floor gorgeous view of sand and surf. Big enough for our family of five grown adult children and a well stocked kitchen that meant we didn’t have to eat out. But if we wanted to, charming village coffee, tea, beer and pizza just a couple blocks away. Swimming in the ocean and fire pits on the beach were easy and dreamy. Dave’s house includes a claw foot tub and an outdoor shower — easy to get the sand off and keep the house clean. Loved it!!

Beautiful location!! Loved the kitchen and how well it was supplied with cookware/dishware. We cooked everyday! The home fit our family. Because everything is old (couch, couch pillows, tables, etc.) we didn't feel like we had to be super careful of what we sat on or touched. Loved the outdoor shower. The beds need updating, they are not exactly comfortable. If we stay again, we will bring soft mattress toppers. The throw carpets definitely need updating (especially in room with bathroon attached). We would come back!!!!!!!

This was a special stay for my family. My dad, 82, stayed in this home countless times as a kid. This home was my great grandmother's home from 1936-1987. I have been fortunate to communicate with the present owner, Dave, over the years. He has done an amazing updating this home while maintaining it's charm. This home is warm and cozy. We love spending time by the fireplace. The side yard is also a special place to hang out. I can't say enough great things about this home. It is a perfect getaway and just a few steps from Seabright Beach. We hope to be back! Bart

Beautiful property The location is wonderful so close to the beach My only complaint is that it was not clear that there was only 1 shower We had 8 adults and only one shower in the house Also there was only one towel allowed per person We would not have rented it if we had understood the shower situation We were in town to attend a wedding and getting ready was challenging Also to get to the only shower you have to walk through someone’s bedroom

A well-stocked home just a block from the beach with a few eclectic touches, like the pastor’s room, to keep things interesting. Dave stopped by as we were arriving to say hello, always a nice touch, and let us know on our last day that we could stay past the check out time if we wanted. All of us (7 adults) loved the house and the location.
