Monte das dois caminhos is submersed in the peaceful and charming countryside near Cercal in Southwest Alentejo with rolling golden hills dotted by pine, olive and cork trees.
Monte das dois caminhos is built in a traditional “monte de Alentejo” style, but full of modern amenities and detail. The house can lodge up to 4 people + 1 baby, has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room with a fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful garden with its own private pool and barbecue area. There is a lovely, covered terrace with a dining table and small lounge area overlooking the pool and garden where guests can relax and enjoy a good meal and watch the sunset.
Beyond the garden and pool area, the villa has three acres of fenced farmland where domestic animals such as horses, cows or sheep may at times be allowed to grass. the property is also a haven for storks who return to their nests in the trees on the hilltop every spring, to raise their young.

We were just so happy in this beautiful home. It is stylish, and homely, and the position is stunning. Sunshine all day and a choice of beautiful places to sit. The pool is perfect and our boys loved roaming free. It’s so peaceful and you can watch the sun setting. Not easy to put into words how special it is. The best memories made. Thank you Carlos and family

Amazing house. The perfect place to relax, with all the comfort. Everything was perfectly clean. The kids loved the pool, the trampoline and all the space to run. Can’t wait to return. The host was very friendly and available to help.

We had fantastic 2 weeks of vacation and can highly recommend it. The house provides the ideal base for activities like surfing or just relaxing and unwinding with its stunning view.The location is very quiet, which we enjoyed a lot, being used to a big city like Berlin.
The house itself is charming, built and decorated with love and style. The attention to detail creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived.
Contact and availability with the owner was easy going, very friendly and helpful, both upon arrival and throughout our stay, also providing useful tips about the area quickly responding to any questions we had.
We can't wait to come back!

If you enjoy the quiet countryside in a lovely home, but still close enough to many gorgeous beaches or mountains - this is for you! The bed was comfortable, kitchen stocked, everything needed for our week stay. We enjoyed Porto Covo for the small town feel with beautiful beaches, Vila nova de Milfontes for some history and cafes, Evora for a nice day trip. Carlos was a wonderful host providing tips for visiting places and restaurants. Can’t wait to come back!
