About this house rental

Ground floor
On the ground floor are two double bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen, which was new in 2013.

1st Floor
Here is the 2nd larger bathroom, a snug to watch the TV (English and German) and relax and two bedrooms, one with 2 bunk beds and the other with two single beds.

2nd floor
The whole of the second floor is an open plan lounge, opening out onto a sun drenched balcony overlooking the village and the wine terraces. Comfy chairs and beanbags to sit on and enjoy the wide screen TV (English & German) , a good selection of modern fiction books to enjoy. There is a table football game as well as a galley kitchen and fridge.

Top floor
The top floor has a 2 person sauna and the best views of the area. There are also 2 mattresses which can be for young children if two families want to holiday together.

Garden and Parking
There is a small garden with an outside table with seating for 6 people, there is a BBQ and a sun shade.
Private parking for 1 small car to park. It is not an easy spot for a medium to large car, in that case you are better parking in the village car park around the corner. Additional cars can be parked, for free on the public car park 50 metres away opposite the Sponheimer Hof

Our familly enjoyed a short holiday in 'das blaue Haus' in Enkirch this October. Well equipped house with enough space for all of us. Good beds and a quiet village made us sleep longer than we planned -:)). Very nice surroundings.

Somewhat funny but very large house with plenty of room to join each others company or relax on your own. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere with lots of basic needs already present in the house. We enjoyed our fifteen nights in Enkirch at this property very much. This four story house (plus cellar) is very spacious, giving the four of us the ability to be together or separate as we wished. The kitchen is well equipped, the lounge area large, and the bedrooms as private as one wishes. As the house is older it is more rustic than modern, but still quite comfortable. The parking space was rather challenging to get in and out of with our medium sized car. Enkirch itself is more a working wine village than a touristy town like Traben or Bernkastel, but still has a large number of historic buildings which make wandering the narrow streets pleasantly worthwhile. The locals were quite friendly and helpful, though often their ability to converse in English was less than in other parts of Germany that we have been in. We were pleased with this property, and would recommend it to others.

Excellent communication with owners. Deposits and refund dealt with very efficiently. Our only problem was parking which is being addressed by the owner , I understand. Overall , a very enjoyable week .

We enjoyed our stay in the "Blue" house! We traveled with a 16 month old child, and appreciated having the crib and high chair available for her use. The vineyards are beautiful and the view from the 4th floor is great. We especially enjoyed walking to the local bakery in the mornings for a wonderful pastry and coffee. In the evenings we enjoyed "gelato" just up the hill and around the corner from us. Would book this location again, and highly recommend it to others!

We enjoyed our stay in the Blue house! We traveled with a 16 month old child, and appreciated having the crib and high chair available for her use. A party of 10 adults and children visited for the Spring Wine Festival in Enkirch. the festival was superb and the weather was 28-30 degrees C all week. The house was lovely.

This is an ideal holiday stay property for a large family or two families holidaying together. It is unusual in having the lounge on the third floor but providing everyone can manage the stairs the space is perfect for children to play. On our first day the weather was dreadful but the children didn't notice as there was lots to do in the way of games and TV entertainment. The kitchen is very well equipped though a little cramped for 8 people. My only criticism is that the bathrooms could be better, particularly the ground floor bathroom. Otherwise this rather unusual house is a great place to stay for exploring the area with easy access to interesting small towns, lots of walking possibilities and ready access to the Mosel river. The property was accurately described and was clean and well maintained. The owner provided excellent customer service and was easy to contact. I would certainly recommend it to other families. We did not use the local restaurants very much but found self catering very easy using the local shops as well as the supermarket in the neighbouring town.

Das Ferienhaus hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir waren dort mit zwei Familien (insgesamt 8 Personen). Es ist viel Platz vorhanden und eine super Ausstattung. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war sehr nett und unkompliziert. Es gab gute Tipps von ihnen für den Aufenthalt. Von Enkirch aus gibt´s viele nette Wandermöglichkeiten, die auch für Kinder gut geeignet sind. Der Spielplatz an der Mosel ist schön und auch die Schleuse einen Besuch wert. Wir hätten sich auch noch länger dort bleiben können. Eine klare Weiterempfehlung!

We had a fabulous time staying at the Blue House. The accommodation is to a very high standard with lots of room to accommodate two families. It was clean, well maintained and very modern. Local shops and restaurants are just a short walk away and the house is ideally located to explore the surrounding region. We would have no problem recommending this house.

A great location in the Mosel valley. Plenty of entertainment - swimming, cycling, boat trips, traditional German shops and some great German bars! The Blue House is set in a beautiful, Christmas card village. It is modern, roomy and the customer service second to none. I recommend you take your friends there!

Das Haus liegt im alten Ortskern und bot für unsere Gruppe von 7 Erwachsenen ausreichend Platz mit Schlafzimmern, Bädern und Aufenthaltsräumen. Die Küche ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Auf dem Balkon konnten wir noch die Nachmittagssonne genießen. Im kleinen Aussenbereich gab es leider früh Schatten. Das untere Bad ist jedoch renovierungsbedürftig; die Duschtassenhalterung ist lose und das Wasser lief sehr schlecht ab. Außerdem war der Badboden verschmutzt und die Duschvorleger gehören entsorgt.

Ein sehr gemütliches, altes Haus in schöner Hanglage in Enkirch. Die Ausstattug der Küche ist sehr gut. Und der Tischkicker im obersten Stockwerk bei unseren Kindern sehr beliebt. ;-) Der Ort Enkirch selbst ist wunderschön mit kleinen, verwinkelten Gassen und vielen Fachwerkhäusern. In wenigen Laufminuten von der Ferienwohnung gibt es viele Restaurants/Straußenwirtschaften, einen Bäcker und zwei kleine Lebensmittelläden. Enkirch ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der Gegend. Die Ausflugs-Highlights unserer Kinder waren die Geierlay-Hängebrücke und der Kletterpark in Traben-Trabach. Der Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus war für unseren VW Caddy zu schmal, aber in ca. 30 Metern Entfernung gibt es einen kleinen öffentlichen Parkplatz, wo wir immer problemlos einen freien Platz bekommen haben.

Schöne und gemütliche Unterkunft. Abstriche gibt es für die Matratze im master-bedroom, diese sollte dringend ausgetauscht werden, da sie total durchgelegen ist. Wir haben uns dann mit einer Ersatz Matratze aus dem dachzimmer beholfen. Die Putzfrau war immer gleich zur Stelle wenn etwas gefehlt hat oder etwas getauscht werden musste, nur auf den versprochenen Mosel Wein warten wir leider heute noch.. Sind aber auch wegen hick hack mit beherbergungsverbot oder nicht relativ spontan doch noch angereist!

Wir waren positiv überrascht von den vielen liebevollen Details, die in die Modernisierung und Wohnlichkeit des Hauses investiert wurden. Das ist keine einfache Ferienunterkunft mit 8 Tellern. Das Haus hat Charakter, bei der Zimmerverteilung drauf achten, ich konnte morgens im 2. Stock in der Sonne mit Yoga den Tag beginnen und habe niemanden geweckt:) Weinberge und schönste Umgebung, freundliche Enkircher alles in der Nähe, Busverbindung nach Trabach zu sehr empfehlenswerten Winzern (ich sag nur "klitzekleiner Ring"), die Mosel ist ein Paradies (relativ leer und langsam fließend) für SUP (Gewässerzeichen/ Schleusenregeln vorher lernen), wir konnten sogar baden! Thank you Marnie and Tim for creating this little gem, we might very well come back!

Die Immobilie ist ein großes, ein wenig in die Jahre gekommenes Haus. Die Küche war bis auf Mikrowelle super ausgestattet. Die Betten waren in Ordnung. Die Kinder fanden die Spiele, Kicker super! Wir haben Außenjalousien vermisst. Die Sonne kommt teilweise sehr früh raus. Es war nur ein Parkplatz da, ziemlich eng. Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt schön. Wir können uns vorstellen, wieder zu kommen.
