Really gorgeous location and close to bus stop. The rooms had basic amenities but everything you need. The highlight is definitely the massive garden and stunning sunset view. Bonus points for a really cute resident dog and cat that came to visit us every night :) The hosts were lovely and waited for us late because our flight was delayed by 4 hours. We could use the washing machine which was very handy because we bought some vintage clothes in the nearby Forio market :)

Mais il faudrait y rester au moins une semaine pour découvrir cette île incroyable !

The apartment was clean but very small for 4 people, fine for only 2. The gardens which the apartment is set in are also nice and you get a good view of the sunset from the sunbathing area.
The buses do stop along the main road that the apartments are near, which is handy - I'd recommend getting the bus to San Angelo (combine with trip up Mount Epomeo as the bus goes to San Angelo first) and Porto - and going to the Castle.
This is located off a very busy main road which isn't pleasant to walk down - part of it there is no pavement. Not great with 2 young children. It is a 20 minute walk to Forio (parts of which aren't very nice). On our last day though we discovered a back route to get to Forio which was a lot more pleasant - also avoiding the barking dogs that were behind one of the gates on the main road, which scared my children immensely.
The beach at Forio is okay but very busy at weekends. The Ravino gardens are nice (but expensive for what you get). The main gardens at Mortella are a bus ride away.
