You can also walk to a bakery, a supermarket, various restaurants, a bank (Volksbank), a post office, some boutiques, several options for renting bicycles and the beach.
Europe's largest sandy beach is only 1km away and can be reached by bike in about 5 minutes. A walk of about 30 minutes through the dune landscape takes you to the landmark of Amrum, the lighthouse.
