B&B Panorama - Self Check in

The breakfast was superb. The host freshly heated up the pastries as guests came in, made coffee’s, had an array of savoury and sweet dishes. A very impressive breakfast & a great light and airy breakfast room.

We couldn’t get into our room as someone had flipped a power switched on our inside of our room , meaning our keypad didn’t work. I phoned the contact person and he came down immediately . The room did have a ‘glimpse’ of the ocean but to see it we almost fell off the balcony. The location is within walking distance of the ‘old town’ but it is a hike up the hill. You do require some level of fitness.

The apartment is clean and the self check is straightforward. The view from the balcony is stunning! Very quiet apartment and street. Good choice for one night stay.

We had issues with parking - the owner was very sweet and sent recommendations for three different parking options but eventually, on a sunny busy day in Cefalú, it’s very very difficult to find a free parking spot. We were very lucky and found the last free spot in a paid parking garage. Just bear in mind if you park downtown, the way to the apartment is uphill. Breakfast is served in the apartment from 8-9:30 but no fresh cornetti and very basic options. This could be improved in my opinion. Another thing we didn’t like was the bed - it made SO much noise at every turn and twist.

The apartment was nice, it is about 10 min walk from station up some quite steep hills, it was large, very clean, had a lift, good wifi, the check in in on your phone so make sure you have battery and data, after initial check in you have physical keys

We chose the unit as it had a balcony, unfortunately after we had booked and paid, we were informed that the balcony was covered by scaffolding, which was annoying as I would not have chosen this property if I had been told first, the balcony was also covered in drop sheets and scraped off paint so was unusable (see photos)also on our last morning we had tradesmen on the scaffolding which was quite confronting as they were right in front of the window which was a bit of an invasion of our privacy, I feel this apartment should not have been let during this renovation, this was mid October 2025, also the rooms are definitely not soundproof as we could hear people next door and above

The location was very good less than a kilometer from the city center and the beach. the staff was friendly. The bed was good as well and nice view from our window. Wifi strong.

The smell of sewage coming from the bathroom was out of this world. I had seen some comments but I thought people were being a bit sensitive. Trust me it was really bad!! I can understand that this might be an old building but this is not my problem. The owner needs to do something about it asap. Also on our last day I was trying to have a shower but I run out of hot water after about a minute. The water would then become hot then cold again. Very annoying. I really wish I could give a better review but I really feel that nothing can compensate for the awful smell. I've never witnessed anything like it and for 150 a night I did not expect anything like that...
