About this cottage rental
A gorgeous detached cottage set in a stunning location high above the rooftops and historic buildings of Wirksworth. The cottage has been lovingly restored to the very highest standards. The area around the Wee House has the feel of a Cornish fishing village – a random patchwork of houses and gardens removed from traffic and noise. The Wee House is peaceful, quiet and has an ‘away from it all’ feel – yet it is only a short amble down the hill to the quirky boutique shops and independent eateries below. Great for a relaxing break away or an ideal place to set off on adventures in the surrounding Peaks – you can walk and cycle from the door.

Original features abound – twisty oak beams, a gritstone hearth and deep recessed windows. These are complimented by solid oak floorboards, a fantastic wood burning stove and handmade wooden shutters. Fabulous finishing and touches throughout.

The position of the cottage was wonderful. High up, with fabulous views over the town. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Immaculately clean and very charming cottage. It has two lovely sun terraces.Could not find fault. It is a steep climb from where you park your car, up to the property. But, it's worth it!

Great little cottage, spotlessly clean with all expected amenities. Very close to the market place in Wirksworth, restaurants, pubs and a variety of shops.Access via either the Dale or Greenhill is very steep, but this is the Peak District!

Perfect little cottage for a cosy getaway. The property is perfect with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Communication with the owners was brilliant and they were on hand with plenty of advice about the local area. Access is via a steep path and parking can be limited at busy times, but don’t let that put you off. The views on the way up are amazing! Lovely local pubs and eateries a few minutes walk from the property. If you fancy eating in, there is everything you need on hand. Lovely fire to keep you warm on cooler evenings. The perfect relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
