It was clean, quite and conveniently located to the metro and buses making it easy to get to major attractions. Also about 10 minutes walking to Saint Peter’s Basilica and Vatican City. Comfortable bed.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Rome with my mother, and we absolutely loved it. Last year we stayed near Termini and had a disappointing experience – we paid a lot for very little quality, and the area didn’t always feel very safe at night. This time it was completely different. The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to the metro, and the self check-in process was incredibly fast and easy. The hotel was spotless, well organized, and the facilities were great. On top of that, the price-quality ratio is outstanding, which is rare to find in Rome. A special mention to Cecilia, the manager, who was extremely helpful and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly during our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience – highly recommended, 5 stars!

Very close to a few key sites
As others have said previously, the dust under the bed was shocking. When I reported it, the owners offered to have the cleaner sort it the next day — but as it was already late and I didn’t want to be disturbed, I cleaned it myself.
The aircon constantly turned on and off during the night, and only on the last day — after coughing all week — did I find a significant build-up of mold in the aircon vents. Bizarrely, when challenged about the mold, the owners claimed I had refused them access to my room for 5 days, when in reality I only declined cleaning for one day (the day after the dust incident).
Furthermore, when my belongings were moved out of the room while I was out, my bag had simply been thrown upside down in the lounge area.

However “good” the communication may be, there is a serious blind spot when it comes to health and safety, cleanliness, and consideration for guests’ property. The issues I experienced were reported by other guests 18 months ago.
After raising a complaint, the owner’s response was that they helped me get a quieter room for my stay — as if this somehow dilutes the issues that occurred afterwards. Blurring two different matters as a way to manipulate and influence Booking.com’s opinion is the hallmark of a dishonest approach. I’d advise people to check their rooms thoroughly when they stay, and to be very dubious of the owner’s overtly pleasant demeanour.
If it seems too good to be true, sometimes it is.
