Toilets around the pool area were very dirty, hand dryer not working the whole time we were there and the smell was awful. Also a distinct lack of toilet paper too.

The room's furniture is very luxurious.

During our stay, we experienced a number of issues that fell significantly below the standards we would expect from a luxury hotel and from the Raffles brand in particular. Upon check-in, I discovered that I had made an incorrect reservation through Booking.com. Rather than allowing me sufficient time to amend the booking through the platform, the hotel pressured me to accept the hotel's own rates. Housekeeping standards were inconsistent. On multiple occasions, our room had still not been cleaned by 4:00 PM, and we regularly had to call to request drinking water, which should have been replenished automatically. A male housekeeping staff member entered our room without first knocking, ringing the doorbell, or announcing himself, which was a serious breach of privacy and guest comfort. The Eid dinner experience was extremely disappointing. From the day before Eid through the fourth day of Eid, the buffet selection remained virtually unchanged. Food trays were often nearly empty, with very limited variety, forcing guests to eat the same meals repeatedly throughout the week. The vegetables, including tomatoes and lettuce, often appeared old, and the meat was frequently tough and difficult to chew. Additionally, water was complimentary during breakfast but charged during dinner, without any clear explanation for the inconsistency. During one dinner service, after we briefly left our table to visit the salad station, our table was reassigned to other guests. The couple occupying the table apologized, but the situation should never have occurred. Throughout several meals, dirty plates and used cutlery were left piled beside guest tables for extended periods. When we were subsequently assigned a new table, only plates were provided, while cutlery was missing. The indoor pool was closed during our stay. When we raised this issue, management stated that the closure had been clearly communicated.
