About this house rental
This family-friendly renovated house with furnished is located in the very traditional district in Nagano city so you will feel local while traveling to stay in this calm and historical area near one of the most important temple Zenkoji.
There are so many options to eat out like local restaurants, cafe, supermarkets etc. I will inform you some local tips when you check-in.
The house itself is 99 square meter, 2nd story japanese traditional house as you can see the pics.
You would sleep with futon on tatami japanes flooring so you can experience japanese lifestyle.

Our family had a wonderful stay in Nagano. Just a short walk or bus ride from Nagano station, the Dot house allows guests to experience and imagine what life is like in a real Japanese household--especially why it's best to move slowly and deliberately (because you don't want to damage the beautiful shoji screens or the hundred-year-old wood walls). Sleeping on a futon mattress also did wonders for our backs.
We appreciated the nice setup of the Dot House. The shower and bathroom (toilet) are separate. The amenities in the kitchen served our needs perfectly, most notably, the large stainless sink and toaster oven. Every room also had its own heater, so we could stay warm no matter where we were in the house. And everything from the shower to the living space upstairs is sparklingly clean.
There are plenty of cookie-cutter Western style accommodations to choose from in Nagano. But we wanted something different, and the Dot House delivered. We can't thank Nao enough for his hospitality, and we hope to be back soon!
