The hotel is well located in the center of Caldas da Rainha, very close to the shopping centre and every morning there is a lovely market with products just around the corner at the nearby square from the local producers that sells fruits and vegetables, flowers and utensils, it’s worth visiting. The hotel is very clean and it has a good hot shower and a comfy bed and the staff are very helpful, friendly and welcoming. It has a yummy breakfast with a good selection of things to eat and drink and the ladies who work at the kitchen are very nice.

The rooms are very unique and creatively designed…just as expected. The staff is AMAZING…all of them, from check in to the restaurant. The daily room service is a nice thing to have these days as well as the breakfast offerings. Everyone was so helpful, friendly, and thoughtful. The location is steps from the daily fruit market, the big beautiful park, and the convenient underground secured parking. If you’re into ceramics at all…this is a hotel featuring the works of several of the best that Caldas da Rainha has.

The hotel is on a narrow one way busy street for Caldas da Rainha but not busy all the time. Parking for the hotel is somewhat limited for unloading/loading luggage but we had far more than most due to our trip being for 2 months around Portugal and having our little dog with us, and carrying all his things. And still it worked out pretty well checking in and out. It’s also acceptable to block or hold up traffic if necessary ever so briefly to offload a passenger and the luggage and then go find parking and/or get the prepaid parking pass from the front desk and go park in the secured underground parking garage a couple short blocks away. We found this very safe, convenient, and very inexpensive. Peacocks are beautiful and everywhere in Portugal it seems…Caldas da Rainha is no different. Peacocks are in the park and often on rooftops nearby. They can be noisy at times and that does get old after a time. Thankfully, they do seem to quiet down in the nighttime.

Aesthetically pleasing- artistically unique. Each room is designed by a different artist so each is unique. Fun concept!

Not as functional as we’d like- only one chair, low bed. Other rooms may be more accommodating as each room is unique.
