Luxury Villa Arcadia in Kalamar with private pool and great sea views

We absolutely loved this villa and recommend it to groups of 6-8 people. It is well equipped and each bedroom brings something special to the stay. Kemal was the most responsive Villa owner we have ever dealt with. For example, when we reported the hot tub not working, he sent someone round to deal with it immediately. When this did not fix the problem, he arranged for a new one to be craned in!! (It’s on the roof terrace). Although a little out of town, we loved the location and spent a few happy days at the nearby beach club (very friendly). The nearby massage place was amazing and so friendly. Carrefour is a quick walk up the hill and there are quite a few restaurants and bars just a 10 min walk (town is a good 25 min walk, but taxis very reasonable). My only personal negative of my stay in Turkey this year were the dogs. We were attacked by 2 on our walk to the local restaurant which was frightening if you don’t like dogs (me) and left us a little concerned walking alone.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay in this villa. Kemal is the best host we’ve encountered in all of our years renting villas through VRBO and others. His communication leading up to our holiday was brilliant & nothing was too much trouble. He was a huge help when our son fell ill, advising us of the location of the local clinic & telling us which doctor to ask for. We were so thankful for his assistance. He hooked us up with a local taxi driver who we WhatsApped for lifts into town daily as it’s a 20 min walk to the main harbour area. Burhan was always available & nothing was too much trouble. To the point that he drove my son and I from the clinic in kalkan to Fethye hospital 1.5 hours away & stayed with us for 3 hours to make sure we were ok and only tried charging us for the journey. The villa was in a great location in a quiet part of Kalamar 1 min walk away from the House bar and kitchen where we had our daily takeaway coffee and two delicious evening meals. It’s a 5 min walk to Kalamar beach club which isn’t the most swish, but had the most for our kids and was the friendliest beach club we tried. It was also 5 mins walk from a carrefour that kept us stocked with basics. Kalkan itself is lovely and had something for everyone in the evening. Balcony bar had the best cocktails and we had some great meals. There are loads of cats and dogs strolling around and if you’re scared this isn’t the town for you! Brilliant stay. 100% recommend.

Had such an amazing time at the property! Such a lovely villa and gorgeous pool! If we ever had a problem it was sorted so quickly! Only thing is maybe to have some cutlery so we could have maybe done a bbq one night. Would definitely visit again!Thank you!!
