This place was great! Very comfortable in a very pretty location. Everything in the cabin was clean and fresh. We have stayed at many places where the linens were clean, but the pillows smelled funky. Not here - everything was truly clean. The location was great for going to GSMNP. 45-50 minutes to Newfound Gap. Ingles grocery is 15-20 minutes away. We enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the porch, listening to the creek as we had our coffee in the morning. Looking forward to coming back.

We loved our stay at Climbing Bear Cabin! Such a great location, with very relaxing vibes. Loved having the hot tub right on the porch, the grill and patio right outside the backdoor and the peaceful babbling brook by the house.Kitchen had a great supply of utensils, pots and plates/mugs etc. A thicker baking sheet would be nice, but otherwise fantastic! Comfy beds, plenty of seating.The cons-The wifi was not consistent. It would be great and then all of a sudden flake out for an hour unless we reset it.We had 5 people in our party, but only 4 towels were provided. There was a pretzel on the floor when we arrived and the kitchen floor looked like it had been sprayed with something but not wiped/mopped over.Bed linens were microfiber.By day 4 the hot tub had a bit of a fishy aroma that kept me out, but the kids still enjoyed it.Overall definitely recommend and will want to go back!

We were there for the weekend, catching a show at Harrah’s. The house was perfect, so clean and close enough to things but also far enough out to be able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Enjoyed the hot tub in the afternoon/evening and also getting to walk in the creek.

Such an adorable, peaceful place. We will definitely be back. We loved the bear motif and the relaxing creek. So many small touches really added to our stay. And I always appreciate it when makeup towels are provided. At the risk of sounding like Douglas Adams, I have taken to always carrying a towel; but for more places like this creekside cottage, I might not have to be so careful to avoid the panic ;)

This is a nice 2 bedroom cabin. The porch is a treat. You can sit on the porch and listen to the stream. We loved the rockers on the porch. The house is well maintained. The kitchen is stocked with more pots, pans and utensils than any cabin we have rented before. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms had good storage for your clothes. Having two bathrooms was great. The area is very quiet, but conveniences are not far away. We hated to leave and plan on coming back next summer

This was a last minute trip. This cabin was spot on in every way. The quickest response to a late booking. Cabin last as it say. The only thing I would change if we could is, it would be pet friendly. Great host, fast to responding to questions. We were grateful for this place. Must take the time to sit on the porch and watch the fireflies, I have them where I live, but not that many at one time. Absolutely beautiful!

The place is beautiful and next to a creek, having coffee right next to it, and the sound of the creek was so relaxing. The cabin was lovely and well-maintained. Everything you need in the kitchen and more! We did a lot of hiking, s’mores at night in the fire pit, and relaxing in the jacuzzi, which was terrific after a long day out. Overall, a fantastic place to stay. The communication with Greg was outstanding; he always responded quickly. We love it!!

Our 4th visit to this property...and the view still amazes me each time. We really enjoy how close to town it is, and the size of the gigantic lot. The large field is always neatly mowed, providing a ton of room to play catch with the boys without having to worry if one of us will step in a hole or encounter a hidden, slithering friend. After a fun filled day, nothing beats the quiet, cool nights like lighting the fire pit and listening to the babbling brook running only a few feet away. I look forward to visiting this place for many years to come!

Perfect for a cozy creekside getaway. The area was private, quiet, and the cabin was wonderfully decorated for the expected ambiance. A notebook was included with information on the surrounding area and it was all inclusive. A perfect and charming place!

If I could give 100 of 100 I would. We have been impressed with this home since I found it. From the speedy communication to the wow factor we got when we drove into drive way. Beautiful yard, well kept, wood pile for fire pit, clean gas grill on back porch, then entry to home is as instructed with ease!!! If you want a clean, comfortable, well stocked home this is it!! The front porch is amazing with hot tub and the creek beside home is clean and kept up so it is ease to see and walk in. Rooms and beautifully done, comfortable beds, and for those it matters to the shower has great water pressure. We hosted our youngest sons proposal by the creek and had his father, step mother and future in-laws over and everyone loved it as well. Honestly I would buy this house as is for my family!!! Hope you get a chance to experience this home away from home. Greg thank you and we will be back and also recommend to everyone!!!

This felt much more like a home than a short term rental. It’s nice to stay somewhere where the online pictures are completely accurate. The kitchen is completely stocked, grill worked, beds were comfortable, and the home was a 5 minute drive to downtown Cherokee… the trout fishing on the other hand was absolutely terrible. I’m sure the temporary loss of the fish hatchery had something to do with the poor fishing, but I can’t wait to stay here again.

The cabin and property are absolutely lovely. My kids (5 & 12) had so much fun playing outside, exploring the creek, having bonfires in the fire pit. We were able to relax on the back porch or in the hot tub and still be able to keep an eye on them. The cabin was really spacious for our group of 4, and had all the amenities we needed! It’s also perfectly located between BC and Cherokee for hitting all the sights. (And 5 mins to the grocery store!)It was incredibly clean, beds were very comfortable, and Greg quickly responded the one time I needed to reach out. Would love to come back and visit again sometime!

The cabin was perfect for our family's trip to the area. We spent time in Byson City, Cherokee, and a few stops in the Smokeys. It was close to ask 3 locations which made travel easy. We loved the huge yard where we threw a football and played some soccer, and also spending time by the creek that runs along the property. The inside was clean and also perfect for the four of us. Electric fireplace and a heater in the bathrooms for after the shower was a nice touch.
