About this cabin rental

Sit on the porch and listen to the sound of the creek as the wind whispers thru the trees. Or relax by the gas log fireplace on a cool night.
Nothing fancy, and a little rustic, but everything you need at an affordable price. Hot tub on back deck and campfire pit in back yard. 5 miles from Cherokee and the casino, conveniently located near area attractions including Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Harrah's Casino, Cherokee museums and shopping, Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, tubing on Deep Creek. Just 30 minutes to Maggie Valley, 45 minutes to Gatlinburg and an hour to Asheville, the Biltmore Estate and other area attractions. No mini-vans or motorcycles. Driveway is dirt/gravel and part is uphill (but then not much here in mountains is flat) Pickups with rear wheel drive only may not have good traction without added weight on back end for uphill.

It was a convenient cozy place to stay. Great for visiting Cherokee area while being able to stay in a rural setting instead of a hotel. Loved the creek that flowed past the property. Kids had a blast playing in it. While it has some wear and tear, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Road going to it is a bit rough and the place was pretty dirty. From the layers of dust on the ceiling fans to the sticky carpets. Enjoyed for our little time but would not book again

We loved the location. Driveway was just as described, all wheel drive had no problem getting up. Walk down to creek was maintained fine. While the rocks that people have written on was fun to read,i think they need a better place to sit. You can't get to the rail to look toward the creek because of so many rocks across 90% of the porch. On to the inside. Beds super comfortable. Kitchen wasn't really clean but usable. We cleaned it well. Biggest issue, the water, it shuts off in about 5 mins While you are in the shower, this would have been good info to have. The water was brown, we had to use bottle water for everything. I get rustic and can do rustic if i need to or want to but to have to do it without knowing I'm going to have to, at a place I'm paying for is not ok. We may have still rented this place but now we will avoid renting any place this group represents due to not being forth coming with what you are renting.

This property is amazing!! We loved how close it was to everything but still private. The house had everything we needed and we even added a rock to the guest rocks they had on the porch. Great getaway for me and my mom. Will definitely be coming back!! I will add I think this is a great place for kids!! Right by the stream and big area to play.

We chose this property for its location and price point. It is not a luxurious place, but it is not claiming to be. We found it perfectly suitable for our needs. It was clean and quiet. The gas wall heater and gas logs quickly warmed up the place. The location near the stream was lovely, and it was conveniently located to our planned visits to Bryson City, Cherokee, and Sylva. The hot tub worked as described. Linens were clean and adequate. It's true the driveway is a bit steep and narrow, but we made it just fine in our little Honda Civic. I would definitely choose this place again, and I found it to be a great value.

Was not a minute from the park. Water shuts off while you are showering. We had to heat with 2 space heaters cause the heater would not stay lite. Said gas company would come out but never seen them.

This was our second time here for a reason, the first time we loved it so much we vowed to come back. This time didn't disappoint, was able to set in the hot tub while we were peppered with snow. Woke up on departure day to a blanket of snow.

Every year we do a girls trip , this was our worse experience in 5 years.Wine glasses in cabinet were dirty,bathroom floor was dirty,whole place could use a good dusting.There was less than 1/4 roll of toilet paper in the cabin.

Everything was great. Beds are comfortable. Everything you need if you want to cook or close enough to go out to eat It is up a steep drive, but not that difficult to get to. It’s heated with gas, so it was really nice and warm considering it was under 20 degrees at night. Enjoyed the hot tub. Beautiful view and the sound of the creek was quite pleasant. We only had a few things of concern, but a quick call to Darion took care of them. He is so nice and helpful. We are looking forward to visiting again.

I live 2.5hrs away from the cabin and it took us 10 hours of backtracking and moving around to get there. The night prior Darion called to check in, and when we got there there was no power because of the storm. The cell towers were down and the internet was out. The next day I got in touch with Darion to let him know we were safe and there, we had to travel to sylva for internet. The cabin was very comfortable and it was actually nice to be fully disconnected. You definitely need a 4-wheel drive car to get up there, an empty truck bed might fishtail. But it was a beautiful cabin and the creek was raging thanks to the hurricane so the sound at night was very pretty. You couldn't ask for a more thoughtful host and a prettier place to be. We will definitely be back during better times. Please be safe, WNC will always be the place my soul is happiest, and I will support in any way I can. All my love from Lincolnton.

Beautiful place! Could use some instructions on how to use TV. (Never could figure out how to watch the tube) very comfortable beds and living space. Easy to get a round the inside the cabin for disabled renters, but could use a ramp on the outside for access to the deck for those that have a hard time using stairs (steps). Otherwise an amazing trip and place to stay.

Overall we loved our quiet little relaxing stay. The hot tub was great, clean and location was peaceful. Listening to the creek flow was so relaxing. The only downfall was no trash pick up, which is typically not a big deal, EXCEPT make note that NONE of the trash dumps are open on Sundays. :( so we had to drive 4hrs home with trash AFTER spending the entire day at a cheer competition. Pretty stinky. lol Other then that minor detail that we were not aware of, we enjoyed our stay and we will be back. :)
