Horrible, and trying to contact Booking.com to complain was a nightmare loop of AI..................

Nothing!! And attempting to talk with a human at Booking.com is a complete JOKE, all AI......I hope someone at booking.com reads this so we can talk about a refund as we checked out Friday afternoon and checked into a much better hotel in Cherokee.

Very disappointed. The pictures on the website did not fully disclose the single rooms as opposed to the cabins. WIFI didn't work, Free Shuttle meant i had to call the Cherokee Cabs for a ride to Casino and back. and the room had faux tiling that stuck to my feet while I walked. No one at check-in when we arrived, had to call a phone number and wait. Walls were cinder block with a horrible plaster job. Room felt cold and unalive. Totally disappointed with the stay. We had booked 3 nights, stayed on and when we went to check out midday Friday no one in office. I left the key in the drop box and we cent to another hotel, which was 200% more relaxing and did not disappoint. Would not stay here again.

The door to outside has a gradual slope to it and then drops about 2 inches to the sidewalk. My wife was taking our dog out after dark and tripped and fell breaking her knee cap.

Good, not great.

This is a reasonable motel if you're happy with something bare bones. My room was very clean, reasonably quiet, the bed reasonably comfortable, the price reasonable. Not great, but good enough. Microwave and fridge worked. [I never turned on the TV but assume it worked too.]

First, BEWARE if you book through a service (Booking,Expedia, etc.) I was sure I'd reserved a cabin, but found I'd been fooled--not by Qualla apparently, but by the service. I'm grateful that the manager compronised a bit. My room ( 2 beds) was smallish and had no comfortable chair and no desk-- only a rickety card table with 2 metal folding chairs (and of course the beds). Not great for reading. Showering was an adventure --once I'd gotten the watertemperaturewhere I wantedI'd stepin -- then the waterwould getsuddenly cold, then hot-- though I hadn't touched the faucet. I showered at different times each day and itwas always the same.

It was in a nice convenient location, clean and friendly staff.

NO CARPETS...Eeeeewww!!

My husband and I really liked our private balcony and the river behind the cabin. Also, it's right down the road from the casino.

The cabins are VERY dated...needs a much needed upgrade! The carpets are gross...I mean, just get rid of them! I probably would've given an 8 rating if it weren't for the carpet.

Internet can be deceiving!

We liked the pictures presented on the website. The cabins, the balconies over the river...

There were only two cabins liked the ones pictured. The rest of the cabins were shoeboxes without balconies. We thought we reserved one of the cabins with the balconies. What we were told we reserved was a room in the Motel across the street from the cabins. We did not look into the rooms, but the outside is old and dumpy looking. We asked for a refund. So far, we have received the run around.

We will be back to stay longer. We only had one night, and wished we had booked a longer stay.

The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Great view. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Our hot tub was not working when we got there. We called and someone came down right away and fixed it. Unfortunately, it only ran for a couple of minutes and did not get hot. We didn't call again because it was getting late. We were fine but would have loved to use it.

Great for a short stay.

I liked the location close to the river and the privacy. Had it not been raining, the outside firepit and activities would have been nice. They had corn hole and grills, etc. The room and bathroom was really clean!

The cabin we stayed in had a musty smell. I soon realized that the carpet next to the AC unit was saturated in water. It probably has been that way for awhile which is why the cabin had the smell. We also saw a small roach in the bathroom. Small roaches are the bad roaches.

This place was substandard and charged us full price for a room we did not accept. Stinks!!!!

The motel reminded me of a place that offered monthly rates for low income tenants. The smell of marijuana was in the air, the room was small, clean, but in disrepair. There were only two electrical outlets in the room, one was behind the bed, which could not be moved (the outlet was not accessible) and the other was a long distance from the bed making it difficult at best to connect my CPAP to power for the night. The sheets had what looked like dead bugs on them but after a closer look turned out to be lint, a lot of lint. This was our 50th wedding anniversary and we were not going to spend the night here. It was not appropriate for the occasion. We refused the room and were told that they would only refund half of our rate for the night, which we reluctantly accepted. But instead of crediting half of our rate from the bill back to our credit card they applied an additional charge of 50% the rate to the card. There were several conversations that took place with them trying to get this corrected. They eventually did remove the additional 50% that they charged my card but the never did credit the card for 50% of the cost of the room as they agreed to do when we refused the room. I eventually came to the conclusion that they had no intention of honoring their commitment so I gave up and we ended up paying full rate for a room that was substandard, that we refused, and did not spend the night in. The favorable reviews we read were obviously on the creekside cabins that they had across the road from the main motel and not on the motel itself. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone, ever!!!

The front desk was Amazing! He was on Point with everything, whatever you needed he took care of it!

I loved the view from the cabins, especially the two bedroom Cabins, it was Amazing! While in the Hot tub and listening to the flow of the river waters was tranquil, so peaceful and relaxing! A+ Qualla to your Staff and Location!

Won't stay here again!

Cabins are cute & large. Location is close to the casino. Pet friendly.

While we've stayed at this facility 3-4 times before, this stay broke the camels back & we will not be returning. Roku TV didn't have reception. Internet would not connect. Pretty boring not having noise. Couldn't even watch the local weather. When it did work, the picture would freeze or spin for minutes. Saturday morning the picture froze at 5:01 am & never come back on. Bed sank pretty low on the sides with a lump in the middle. One nightstand between the 2 queen beds & if laying down, you couldn't reach it. I had to put a chair next to my bed to put my CPAP closer, so the hose would reach me having to sleep in the middle of the bed. With the sides sinking, I was worried I would roll off onto the floor. Cabin had a funky odor upon first entry, but I guess we got used to it. Be careful getting out of the tub since the bathroom floor is about 3" lower than the tub floor!

We liked how close the facility is to the casino and that they have cabins and if we stay there again, we may look at staying in one of the cabins.

I had a question about my payment once I received and I had to call back 3 times because no one seemed to know the answer. The room had some type of flying bug, the door knobs were falling off and the worst part was the bathroom did not have any hot water and when it was mentioned to the office staff we were told that we just needed to let the water run for a long time when we let it run for at least 7-8 minutes.

They over charged us and when confronted blamed booking and extra fees for pets and taxes.also I reserved a cabin but was stuck in a motel room ins head and when confronted said everyone has that issue when going through booking.he also advised in the future reserve directly through the hotel they also never cleaned the room when asked couldn't get towels and there was no phone in the room.

The place outside the cabin stinks. Fould odor that make you gag. The cabin is overpriced. The toilet commode is so small drsigned for kids not adult. There was an envelope for tips but not once a maid clean our room. Also, no towel change eiher.

We had an absolute amazing time and cannot wait to come back.

The Mexican restaurant close by was absolutely amazing so was BJ’s diner truly is the best cheeseburger in town. The cabin was gorgeous and the staff was super accommodating and helpful.

You could tell the cabin is pet friendly, which is exactly what we wanted and we didn’t mind at all, but there was a slight odor of maybe a pet accident previously so we let the room air out a little bit and it seemed to go away.
