Visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, just 3.5 miles away. The visitor’s center and village are free, with a high probability of Elk sightings.
Take a Ride on the Rails at the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad in Bryson City, just 10 miles away, with quaint shops and a variety of restaurants. Explore the Road to NoWhere and take a short hike to beautiful waterfalls on this BC side of the GSMNP.
Adventurous excursions like white water rafting and zip lining within the Nantahala Gorge are about 30 minutes away.
Make yourself at home as you take in all the sights and sounds of nature off the beaten path here at Firefly Cove, and watch the night come to life!
Set your alarm for a 9 pm date to the patio or fire pit as the woods light up for a magical show!

Things to take note of:
At the end of your stay you will be responsible for placing all trash in green can behind home. Load & start dishwasher, empty fridge, remove bed linens and lastly start a load of towels. A friendly reminder will be sent out the night before you go. This is all to help the cleaners visit go a little smoother.
PLEASE NOTE* NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED INSIDE THE HOME* IF SMOKING IS A MUST, IT SHOULD BE DONE OUTSIDE & YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DISCARDING YOUR CIGARETTE BUTTS!! Failure to do so will result in loss of security deposit. Thank you for understanding.
(As we are waiting for Cherokee to provide access to WiFi and cable in the area, please enjoy the satellite & old fashioned DVD collection, or better yet, enjoy a book as you unwind from a hectic, daily life.
Cell phone service is good, so you should be able to access the internet via your phone.)

The house was clean and contained good amenities. We enjoyed the grill and firepit. Unfortunately, we did not see the nice cutting knives under the over until we were leaving. The fire alarm is extremely sensitive. Each time we cooked on the stove, it set the alarm off. Last, the VRBO posting states there is a twin bed with trundle. We did not find this.

The place was ok, amenities were not in great condition. The floor in the living room had a large bad spot that had been taped over and ‘hidden’ by a rug. The rug didn’t lay flat and we kept tripping over it so we picked it up & found the spot. Master bedroom has no closet. No door to the bathroom- toilet is in plain sight of bed. Also, the house sleeps 6 but only 4 plates in the house, 3 chairs at the table, etc. Not enough toilet paper, no additional trash bags provided, just a lack of ‘necessities’. The dishes in the cabinets were not really clean- stuck on food and we found a fake eyelash stuck on the cutting board! However, the location was very convenient to multiple attractions. After dumping the water out of the uncovered fire pit we enjoyed having a fire outside. Decent sized bedrooms and large bathrooms!
